Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

My heart beats loudly in my chest,
From somewhere far too deep inside.
It echoes off the bedroom walls,
Where I wait for her to return.

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

The minutes tick by so slowly,
In this prison of my design.
Naked and alone I shiver,
With dread and anticipation.

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

I listen for the engine's purr,
Along the street, then up the drive.
It's been too long, my stomach churns,
But this is what I asked her for.

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

She wore her make-up heavily,
A mini-skirt, no underwear,
A silken blouse that buttoned up,
And heels that speak her intentions.

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

The party invitation sits,
Upon the bureau open wide.
It started in the afternoon,
And two AM has passed me by.

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

She said she didn't have to go,
But I encouraged her leave.
The host, she said, was interested,
In more than just the barbeque.

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

So I suggested she attend,
And dress the part I chose for her;
The lonely, slutty, cheating type,
And she how far she'd like to go.

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

She asked me thrice if I was sure,
If I would be ok with things.
I told her Yes, of Course I would,
I wanted this. I wanted this!

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

I knew she had an eye for him,
He spoke to her alot at work.
She always kept her distance though,
That was until last week, you see.

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

A compliment, a gentle touch,
Admittedly she felt a jolt.
She told me of this right away,
Afraid that I would be upset.

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

I found myself excited though,
And fantasies then filled my mind,
Of afternoons revolved around,
Her lustful infidelity.

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

And when the invitation came,
An offer to stay overnight,
For folks who'd had too much to drink,
My fantasies grew stronger.

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

I hear her car approach the house.
Her heels clack on the marble tile.
The door is open and I see,
My love arrive in silhouette.

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

I ask her how the evening went,
She smiles and starts to get undressed.
She's lost a button from her blouse,
Her hair is tangled, lipstick smeared.

Thrum Thrum Thrum Thrum

She slips into the bed with me,
The smell of sex is palpable.
She kisses me passionately,
Then tells me what they did to her.
