I can never make the rhymes this smooth..
They work without being too saccharine or cliche'
Nice to see you, as well, on board this morning.

You just need to toast to life and drink from them with another. A metaphorically poignant poem - thank you.
Your prose here is smooth, it flows like the fine wine so sweetly and metaphorically referred to. One can get intoxicated by your poetic genius.
This is a sad piece, with wine a metaphor for life and love. As life proceeds, the wine is drunk as slowly love runs out. After reading this I scanned the other comments and will only add that poignant seems inadequate a word to describe the feeling here. Me? I'm ready for a refill.
It's a poem so sad, of life's loves consumed and gone with no easy refill.
