.....in gushing mode tonight. I was blown away by this poem too! So evoctive and true to Melville. Well done!

Just terrific....

...in every way. What a glorious read! Even feels good off the tongue, with subject matter in which one might not expect such melody. There are comma edits needed in the first stanza, I think -- after the words: chosen + bones + skeletons, plus a period at the very end.

Just wonderful work.

powerful images!

you brought the dead back to life with your words..painting a reality very hard to digest.

images so clear, still lingering in my mind, but with a haunting chill
