You have made a good start on what can be a great story. Don't apologise for your writing skills because you are much better than many of the writers on this site. I only picked up on a couple of minor errors but none that detracted from the story. Keep on writing and be sure to have a sequel to this story.

It was well written, and started as a good story. The only problem was it ended too soon. Keep on writing.
