How can nobody know Lil went to visit Henry when Beth lent her the van and how did she know where Henry lived as she had never been to his house?.

I thought that story was wonderful. It brought water to my eyes...

Story was well written and great characters. The characters seemed to take on a life of their own and the twist of him working for Lil's mom Julie as a dancer was great. Overall it was a very enjoyable read. Well done 5++stars

The part where Julie came out in the restaurant was amazing and his help with Brad was really great. I have a niece with Downs Syndrome so helping with Brads confidence was amazing! I hate being suckered into a story. DG is good writer and story started well. But then I could not figure out how one could develop any kind of relationship with seeing a waitress during working hours once a month. Then, when Julie was introduced as Lil's mother, the story tanked for me. Such totally improbable coincidence was just too stupid, and then I stopped reading.

Great story well written. A little far fetched in places but that still didn't detract from the general content.

JTWheels comments were totally uncalled for but then there is always one who cannot understand quality

We don't get enough stories like this in LW, especially recently. Of course, there aren't a lot of authors of DG Hear's caliber around. Just a great story of overcoming adversity and making a good life for yourself.

Some of the talking was a little stilted or maybe unatural

But that is a minor thing. You had me crying for at least two pages.

I thought you went a little puritan there when the kid said ass and was told to watch his language. Plus when Henry and Lil go to Ohio and sleep in seperate places....they aren't teenagers anymore! The end turned out very much differently than I had expected from the beginning. But then, that's life--it generally doesn't wind up like we'd planned it. Your characters are realistic, and the plot took enough twists that it held my interest throughout. The likelihood of running into Lil's mom such a long distance away is fairly remote, but then, sometimes it's a small, small world. I really enjoyed your story.

A story, or two, of overcoming disability along with a great love story.. A story where the kids really like the suitor enough to conspire with him is always a very touching, enjoyable one.. I do indeed believe that all 4 kids understood what was going on with Henry and Lil.. They used their discreation to ignore it.. I thought Julie turning up again was a good twist.. It was sure hard for him to have any secrets, wasn't it?. I was wondering if Lil knew about the proposal before she was supposed to.. Really good read!!
