This reads like an add in the yellow pages with about the same amount of emotion
Thanks. I lived in southern Italy for eight years and have many Italian friends. You have caught the flavour of small town Italian life. Good job

I enjoyed this story but it could have benefitted from a plot twist or two. Perhaps more suspicion on the police' part, or corruption. Perhaps something to do with the large deposit or follow-up by the criminals who made her a happy widow. There really wasn't much tension.
Also, seeing that this is Lit, after all, more description of their sexual relations would be nice.
...... killed the brothers, so very conveniently.
.
Great story. I felt the narrator's "struggle" to bring things into English. Created an exotic foreign flavor.
Debating whether 4 or 5 stars.
story had a lot of promise, but there wasn't much in the way of conflict or actual substance.
