Wow. The last words she had with her mother brought me to tears. I could feel her pain of loss and blame I felt that pain when I experianced a close loss. That can really tear a person down. Finally Sam got out what sue really felt maybe now she can find peace with her mother and herself with the loss of her brother. Really inspires me to get some things out I need to with people. But the void of Drew was felt in this chapter. The part with Drew's picture really gave a tight squeeze to the heart because she's so in love with him. If only she would just talk to him and get it all out. Maybe make her own point this time. Please dont let the wait for the next chapter be as long. Awesome work toodles=)

I can't tell you how much i love this story! there's the perfect balance of angst, drama and happiness- i'm very much on the edge of my seat!

Can't wait to see what happens with poor Sam- i can't imagine that she'll actually leave! She seems too strong, finally stepping up to the plate and saying something, to just run away. And to leave things unfinished with Drew..!! I can't wait to see how you weave it all back together and (hopefully!) bring us to happy ever after :))

Seriously well written, you have a flair for dialogue that doesn't seem stiff or whimsical. Sam is a very believable character, and both of her little outbursts in this chapter came very naturally. Bravo!

Yay for Sam for standing up to her parents. Now she needs that same backbone when talking to Drew. I do like it when a character stands up for herself (or himself as the case may be).

Her dad too, for letting it go on for so long. I agree--kudos to Sam for standing up for herself. I hope hre backbone continues to strengthen cause it seems to me she's been a footstool pretty much all her life, or at least since her brother died.

Only one more chapter? I REALLY hope you let Sam go to Italy and put some distance between her and Drew. She needs this time to improve her business but most importantly, come to grips with her life and she's not going to be able to do that at home.

I'm on vacation this week and it was made so much better when I saw a new chapter posted by you. It is about time that Sam told off her mother I can't even imagine feeling that punished by someone that should love you. Especially for something that wasn't your fault. I am sure that all of us won't complain if it needs to be a couple more chapters as long as you don't keep us waiting.

Well, it was a long wait and it's a shame that Drew wasn't a part of this chapter however you've filled in a lot of Sam's back story which has helped make her more real. It was brilliantly written as usual and has left us wanting more. Keep up the good work Xx

so glad you updated! although of course I missed Drew in this chapter, I think it was a very necessary piece to her story and to her getting over the past. She had to confront her mom and how her mom has treated her. I actually hope she goes because I think if she doesn't she'll always regret it....but of course still misses Drew. Please update soon!

I thought it was just going to be the anniversary, not his actual birthday. Now I understand Sam's character better. Very dramatic, very well written!! (I expected nothing less--you're always brilliant, you know.)

I hope in the next chapter we learn about Angie, and just what the heck Drew's been doing for all this time. Surely, no man in love lets the woman of his dreams run out of his place crying and then doesn't talk to her for a week? Or maybe I've misunderstood the male brain. Actually, that's fairly likely.

I was so scared for a moment. I read "Finish packing for a new life." And I thought "Oh my god, NO! You can't leave the plot unresolved like that! It's not fair!" Then I scrolled down and saw you were posting a chapter nine. I guess that serves me right for not reading your updates before the story:) This was such a great chapter. As bad as I feel for Sam (not her mother. ickkk) this needed to happen, so that she could stop blaming herself and move on with her life.

This chapter was written beautifully and I felt the scenes with Sam and her mother had the exact feeling of those who have lost such a close family member. Looking forward to the next chapter.

I just found your story and I am love with it! You had me on an emotional roller coaster ,sad, mad and everything in between. I'm so happy that you did :) I was hoping (kind of, sort of, not really) that this was the last chapter (only so we wouldn't have to wait for the next one) but Oh, what a cliffhanger you left for us! I'm so glad that Sam finally let it out with her parents. It's unfair that her mother treats her like she doesn't matter just because she's alive and her favorite son is dead. It's such a hurtful feeling. I don't want her to go to Italy but at the same time I want Drew to chase after her! ... Or for her to come back after her 3 months and then have Drew and her meet up and it's all fireworks, explosions and love love love! Haha okay, I'll stop now. This is definitely one of my Top 10 Favorite stories on Lit. Please don't make us wait too long for the next part; I'm already dying to know what happens next!

This chapter took me on a rollercoaster ride. I can't count how many times I gasped while reading this one.

Okay at this point I really hope nothing works out for her. She's actually the worst. Literally cares about no one but herself. Kinda hope Marco bags and tags her then sends her back with nothing. Just the worst.

I feel so bad for Sam! I mean, sure I got really frustrated with her when it came to drew and her but I could totally relate to her about the strained relationship with her mum.
