Awesome chapter! (Well worth the wait.) It's great to finally see the primary characters become enlightened to the reasons they were so separated, despite their affection for each other. Now, all we need is a little more truth in communication, a little more revealing of the secrets they keep from each other. Wonderful writing.

Just a small thing. From a male perspective it is difficult to keep up with the rapid mood swings. She loves him, then hates him, then loves him again. I don't think the male is capable comprehending such rapid changes, it just goes to make Lissy look unstable. A male is more comfortable being unsure for a period of time but then making a decision and stick with it. I guess it depends which gender you want your audience to be. anon jerry

Empathetically, it feels like 'deja vu'. Too many secrets, that were hinted at by past anomalies and curious coincidences that didn't make sense at the time. The emotional self destructive 'bi-polar' relationships point to ptsd wounds from formative youth experiences. How tragic and unnecessary.

Love the story, but find you’re leaning a little too much into the asshole and naïveté tropes of Matt and Lissy a bit too much. And the fact that they aren’t listening to each other. Literal textbook toxic conversations highlighting how someone (Matt) GASLIGHTS someone else (Lissy).
