My idea is to have the reader realize the truth about what is going on to the main character but to portray the main character as not wanting to know that truth.

I hope the reader enjoys knowing this and watching the character slowly over time become aware of the truth.

I want to portray the power of denial and how delicious it is to deny the truth and how the pleasure sustains us.

The conflict between our conscious mind thinking it knows who we are and our unconscious that tries to tell us what is going on inside of us, I find fascinating.
