the story was rather confusing and did not seem to flow together into a cohesive plot so much as drift from one scene to the next unrelated scene without making alot of sense.

I like that this story has an arc. I, too, found its scenes and ideas a little disjointed, but, more than that, I like that we get a conclusive ending. My favorite part is that I couldn't tell where the story was heading. Unpredictability always adds a refreshing sense of adventure.
