Sorry but story blunder big time. If Jenny is the angle of papa's eye and in the construction world and an Italian family that has connections - no way would he have sat around after he saw his daughters face smashed and soon son-in-law mangled hand. He would have; 1-got revenge on those he beat up his daughter, 2-got covert protection for her, 3-arranged for his protection and since his wife had already been kidnapped her protection too. He has money and the Italian family and they all knew she was in some trouble at the first gathering.

Then to fall for this phone call rouse and not have family protection around them - no notta - story miss.
