Click hereI felt light and free now, the pills beginning to take effect. I smiled, knowing that soon I would see the man I had loved all my life. If he forgave me, we would be happy forever as we intended before I threw it all away. If he didn't, being without him was a just punishment for me and one I would accept. Maybe it was imagination or wishful thinking, but as the light faded, I think I saw him waiting for me with a smile on his face.

But, never suicide, especially over a woman.

ttt595 months agoGood storer! Maybe a better ending: would have been for daughters to learn who their mom was a force her to live with her choices, promising to make everything about her known if she killed herself too, then telling her she would never see them again.

Behindbluis10 months agoWow, a little dark, and such is life. Sure you could have taken it further to answer questions left open, but it was a good closing spot. It was never meant to be a story about anyone's point of view except hers.
