Carly had told me she loved me many times and each time she did I had the urge to raise the white flag but fought it off. I knew it was a stupid thing to do each time I did it but that is what men do.

"I love you," I said as I kissed her softly.

Carly buried her face in my shoulder and quietly sobbed for a few moments. I sat us up and carried her to the shower with my cock still buried in her pussy, an oft-repeated task. We cleaned up each other as usual but there was no play, no groping. What we needed was to just hold and touch each other.

We stepped out and after we dried off we changed the linens on our bed. We went to the kitchen and I brewed some coffee for us. She sat on my lap as we waited on the coffee. We kissed.

After we prepared our cups we sat face-to-face and just looked at each other in wonder. "Why did you stop me?" she asked again in a soft voice.

"Because I love you," I repeated in a soft voice. "We already know you will not like it. I knew you were going to do it because you wanted me to know how much you love me. I stopped you because I wanted you to know how much I love you."

Well damn, I had made her cry. I felt helpless.

She suddenly lost her mind. She jumped on my lap and with a deep groan bit the hell out of my shoulder then shuddered and cried loudly as she tried to fuse our bodies into one. I just held her to me.

After most of her emotional storm had passed I picked her up and walked us to my recliner in the living room and plopped us down, another very common event. We kissed at times but mostly we hugged, sometimes fiercely so.

"Where do you want to go on our honeymoon?" I asked.

"Are we getting married?" she asked somewhat incredulously.

"I though we already were. Sorry about that."

I reached into the end table drawer and pulled out a small velvet bag. I took out a diamond engagement ring and slipped it on her finger. "So, where do you want to go on our honeymoon?"

She again bit my shoulder, tried to break my ribs with her embrace and almost reached my liver with her tongue. She started crying again.

Damn, I wished I would stop doing that to her. I held her to me until that emotional storm passed. Several times as she calmed she held out her hand and looked at her ring, kissed me with ferocity, then allow her sobs to overwhelm her again. Eventually she managed one word.

"Rome," she said amid soft sobs as she kissed my tears from my cheek.

The ring had been in that drawer for over six weeks. I had debated with myself often over whether I actually wanted to be married or just keep our relationship were it was. The incident had made things crystal clear.

Carly and I had been living together for a year and had become engaged several weeks before. It was now time for me to meet her family. Her cousin's wedding was four days away.

Carly schooled me on her family tree. I had until the rehearsal dinner so I had time to put names and faces together.

Carly said, "My family is predominantly female and redhead. In fact if you see a redheaded woman in any of the three coastal counties we are scattered throughout they are probably MacDuff.

Most are teachers with a smattering of lawyers and artists. Mom's name is Martha and is one of five sisters; she is the oldest but never even hint you know that. She is a retired schoolteacher but has been conned into the interim superintended of schools position. No one is looking for her permanent replacement.

I am one of four sisters, the youngest one. Andrea, the oldest, she will likely be there. We will not mention our relief that her slime ball husband died in a plane crash.

Rhonda, my hero, is a lawyer and works in Washington but she loves Karen and said she would try to make it. She is madly in love with a guy named Jack so we expect her to move back here or home some time soon. Sue just moved back home and will be there, she just filed for divorce. She is a teacher.

You know Allen (the king of the theater district), and met my cousins, Helen, (a teacher), and Clara, (a lawyer); the four of us are the only ones that live in The City.

I love all of my extended family dearly but of all my cousins I am closest to Karen, she is my age We are the babies of the lot."

Carly printed the family tree complete with pictures for me. I thought it was easy, there were just twenty five names on the chart and I already knew four, Carly, Helen, Clara, and Allen. Carly had put herself in the chart so I would know which was her mother and her sisters.

Then I turned the chart over and there were thirty three more names and pictures. They were the people considered family that I was likely to meet. They were Black, Asian, Hispanic and mixed races on that chart. There were also a lot of blondes.

Carly told me that she would get them t-shirts with their names on it to help me out.

I had learned that Carly was a very organized sex maniac. In fact everything she did in her life had always been carefully planned, except for me. She blamed me for the sex maniac persona she did not possess before she met me.

I said, "You are welcome."

I did assume that the name on shirts part was a joke.

I joined her at her seaside hometown of Felicity, Texas three days before the wedding. Carly seemed nervous and confessed that her family was a bit rambunctious and insisted that didn't mean they were bad people.

I had memorized her extensive family tree, however the fact that most of the women were small freckle-faced redheads had me consulting my cheat sheet at times. I eventually matched faces with tits and freckle numbers and that helped.

Carly had an uncle who died before she was born, Allen's dad. Two sons of Wendy had died as kids.

Allen, Bobby, and James were the only guys among sixteen girl cousins and aunts. Bobby had always lived at least a hundred miles and now lived a thousand miles away so it was basically James and Allen against a horde of redheaded women. I felt their pain.

In her family her sister Andrea had more than her share of the breast allowance among the sisters. A similarly endowed sister of Karen confused me for a few moments until I saw that her breasts had been recently purchased. Her Aunt Wendy had magnificent tits.

Carly's tits were the smallest of the sister's breasts but she already knew that her tits and I loved each other dearly and their size was of no concern.

We set our ruse in motion before the rehearsal dinner when Carly introduced me to Karen as her escort. Karen's eyes widened and she gave me a kiss on the cheek.

She whispered, "Are you two dating?"

"Of course not. I am just here for appearances sake."

Karen kissed my cheek again and said, "Right," then gave Carly a ferocious hug and a kiss right on the lips.

Carly did not seem surprised by the kiss on the lips nor that Karen had immediately seen through our ruse.

Carly introduced me to the groom, Mike, as a mafia enforcer named Luigi and explained she had hired me to make sure he understood that Karen's hurts would be his hurts.

Mike smiled and shook my hand while saying, "Likewise I'm sure," as he smiled at Carly.

Either we were doing a bad job of acting or Karen had told him who I was, or rather what I was. It did occur to me that Carly and I probably should stop holding hands.

Before Carly got a chance to introduce me to her mother Martha the woman had me in a tight embrace. She eventually released me and embraced her daughter, then walked away while holding back tears.

Carly got frustrated and got everyone's attention.

"I have an announcement to make. This man is a hired escort, no more. He is costing me a lot of money."

Her aunt Wendy raised her hand and said to me, "I'll give you a hundred dollars more than she is giving you." She then turned to her boyfriend, Mike's father, and said. "Honey, give me a hundred dollars."

Carly and I gave up amid the laughter and we kissed, to a round of applause. Carly reached into her purse and handed me her engagement ring and I slid it onto her finger with another kiss. She had not worn it on her trips home of course, we had a ruse to pull. Unsuccessfully.

Carly said, "Everyone, this is my fiancé Jimmy."

Everyone came to me with big grins to shake my hand and kiss me. I felt guilty for stealing the bride and grooms spotlight but Karen was the happiest one at the turn of events. She kept her hug of Carly going for several minutes.

Carly did the obligatory walk around the room to show off her ring. I was glad I had chosen it that particular one, it looked like a ring I would have given her two hundred years before. Perhaps I had. It was elegant with a nice diamond flanked by four small emeralds. Sometimes when the light was just right the diamond would get an aura of green from the emeralds. Carly loved it.

Her very pregnant cousin Connie hugged and kissed Carly then said, "Big deal, I did it first," then kissed her again.

Carly explained as she hugged Connie, "I will be the second lesbian in the family to get married. These are her second and third kids she is carrying, girls of course," Carly said as she rubbed Connie's tummy.

"Her husband is the guy with the beard, Joe. We love him. Her brother Bobby is the one that looks like a movie star. Her virtual sister Teri is the prettiest woman in the room.

The small lady that seems to be everywhere at the same time is their Mother, Aunt Allison, She is gay and a troublemaker and I adore her. I wish she lived closer."

Connie said, "No you don't. She challenges normalcy." The cousins laughed and agreed. I decided I needed to know Allison better.

Most of the attendees came by to wish us well and to relate to me something embarrassing in Carly's past. After a few of those I pretended to take notes. Charlene seemed to have a whole closet full of those stories. Carly swatted her butt and told her to go away. The kiss they had shared told me a lot.

Her Aunt Wendy, her cousin Clara and her friends Jana and Shawna appeared to be of great importance to Carly so I made a mental note of that. Her reaction to Teri was odd and I took note of that too. Her love for Karen was palpable. At twenty-five they were the two youngest in the clan. They looked and acted like sisters.

Her cousin Allen came to us and swore he had not said anything to anyone. "But I did not have to," he said. "As soon as you two walked in everyone knew, they could see the bond between you and your plan had no chance."

Allen was the only member of her family that knew the extent of our relationship and had seen Carly wear her ring. We ran into him often on our Saturday night dates and we had spend nights at each other's homes. Allen was gay but about an hour after meeting him that bit of information became irrelevant. We had become good friends.

I had seen Clara just twice, both before we had become engaged. She had allowed our ruse to play out and was not surprised we were engaged.

The dinner arrived so we entered the dining area and found our seats. The evening proceeded down near normal lines until it was time for the speeches.

The father of the groom, Jim, thanked his son for giving him the perfect daughter. (Applause.) Then praised him for having the intelligence to eventually realize that the love of his life was right in front of him. Eventually. (Laughter.)

"I raise my glass to both of you," he said. "I would wish you happiness but that would be redundant." (Cheers.)

The mother of the bride, Maureen, (everyone called her Mo), then stood and asked the audience, "Raise your hand if you did not see this coming almost a year ago. Anyone?" Laughter spread around the room as not one hand was raised until Mike timidly raised his to great laughter.

"The ladies know that men are very slow to understand the most important thing in life so Mike can be forgiven, but my daughter? She knew. I told her to just slap him around until he understood who she was, but nooo, she made all of us wait."

Laughter and good-natured booing followed that remark. Karen pleaded for mercy.

"By the way, slapping him into awareness would be a good thing for another unnamed redhead to do."

Everyone looked at Amanda. Her boyfriend Rick blushed brilliantly. A small redhead, (Helen?) punched him in the shoulder for which she got applause.

Mo resumed, "Karen, Mike, I could not be happier for you. In fact, I could not be happier for me."

She then shouted, "Wendy, we have a son."

Wendy flew into her arms and both shed happy tears then ran to Mike and kissed him hard.

I looked to Carly for an explanation but saw tears streaming out of her eyes. All five of the older sisters and all their daughters were in tears. So was Allen. I decided to ask later.

Mo embraced her daughter and concluded with, "I love you."

Cheers followed as she returned to her seat.

Mike stood and thanked everyone for coming. Then looking at Wendy and Mo he said, "Mom, Mom, I love you."

He waited for the wave of emotion to recede and continued. He thanked Karen for waiting. "Have I mentioned that I am madly in love with her?" he asked.

A chorus of "Yes," answered his question. After the chuckles and giggles died down he continued. "First of all I want to thank my Dad. Not just for the fine eight foot Boa constrictor he is giving us as a wedding present....."

Gasps and horrified laughter interrupted him; Karen dropped her head in mock dismay.

"Not just that but he also paid for this evening's fine meal." Applause and raised glasses to his father joined his thanks.

"Most of all I want to thank him for making me aware of who Karen was. He urged me to just hold her hand, just hold it. He knew that once I did I would never let go. He was right," Mike said as he lifted his hand to show everyone her hand was in his.

"Thank you Dad, I love you."

Applause and cheers followed as Mike gave Karen a long kiss. His father had a string of people gave him handshakes and pats on the back until Mo ran to him and gave him a serious kiss that lasted until her sister Wendy swatted her butt.

It took a while for the guests to settle down but eventually it was the bride's turn.

She tapped a glass with a knife and said, "I have an announcement to make. I am getting married."

Her mother piped up and said, "It's about freaking time."

An effeminate male voice said, "Don't do it honey. I know where there are a lot of sailors." That urging had come from Allen. He had used his "queen" voice.

Big laughter followed Allen's remark as Karen pretended to be considering his suggestion.

Karen continued, "Be that as it may I want to thank all of you for your attendance, it wasn't compulsory you know."

Her mother said, "It wasn't?" as she pretended to get ready to leave.

"Oh, sorry. For you it was."

"No it wasn't," her Aunt Allison said from her seat.

"Amen to that," added Martha.

"Go ahead and go home," it's past your bedtime anyway," Wendy said.

"Now girls, play nice," Karen said in her best school teacher voice. Mo stuck her tongue out at her sisters and said to her daughter, "Go on honey."

"Yes baby, ignore your Old Aunts," Aunt Amanda said.

"Aunt Amanda is the youngest of the sisters and takes every opportunity to rub it in," Carly whispered to me.

Karen resumed her speech after Amanda graciously accepted all four sisters' middle finger regards.

"Thank you," Karen said ignoring the rude gestures. "I would first like to thank Jungle Jim's Pet Shop for providing tonight 's dinner. Don't think about that too much."

"Mikes father's pet shop," Carly explained amid the laughter.

"I would also like to thank my soon to be father-in-law for the charming reptile he gifted to us. We in fact brought him here tonight for you to meet but we do not seem to be able to find him."

"Her," Mike corrected.

Nervous laughter followed those remarks.

"I would certainly like to thank my bridesmaids for keeping my mother and her coven, er, sisters from killing each other these last few weeks. But Carly honey, telling us that you could make it look like an accident didn't help."

Big laughs for that line as Carly assumed a look of disappointment.

After the room quieted down Karen looked at Mike's father and said, "Dad, I want to thank you for Mike, for loving him and guiding him to become the man he is, the man that I love.

(Applause for Mike's father). He seemed to be holding back tears. I later learned that it had been the first time Karen had called him Dad. I already knew he would be the one walking her down the aisle.

"Mom, I should have listened to you. I know that I say it way too often but I also know how much you love to hear it. You knew it was Mike before I knew it. Heck, most of you knew it was Mike before I did. I guess I will always prefer to discover things on my own. Mom, thanks for telling me where to look. I love you."

(Cheers for Karen's mother.)

"Aunt Martha, Aunt Allison, Aunt Wendy, Aunt Amanda, Mom. Thanks for everything. It is going to be the event of the season, however it turns out.

Carly, Clara, Rhonda, it is nice all of you are here in case anyone needs legal representation."

There was an ominous stirring among the ladies.

"In conclusion,..."

"It's about time," shouted Martha.

"Quiet you old witch," followed from Amanda.

"Look whose calling somebody a witch, you witch," from Wendy.

"Can't we all just get along? asked Allison sarcastically.

Maureen just stood and gave her sisters the finger.

"You better duck out," Carly said to me as the bickering between the sisters escalated.

Suddenly, from out of nowhere, all the ladies produced small cream pies and they were soon flying through the air. Carly got her mother on her breasts and gracefully dodged a missile form her Aunt Wendy only to get a perfect face shot from Karen. I joined the rest of the men in slinking out of the room and we made it out unscathed except for Allen who got hit squarely in the butt with a missile.

"Well, now everyone will believe me when I say I have a sweet butt," he quipped.

We laughed our way to the bar. I got better acquainted with every one of the guys and decided I liked them all. James and I cleared most of the cream pie off Allen's butt and as thanks he promised to lick whatever flavor pie was on our ass when needed. James gave him a swat with the towel amid the laughter.

Someone asked Jason, the last to join the family and a professional photographer, why he was not in there taking pictures.

He laughed and asked, "Would you go in there?" After we all confessed we were too cowardly for that he added, "James and I set up cameras that are taking pictures every thirty seconds. We will have ample blackmail opportunities from this."

We thanked them profusely.

Bob, Charlene's husband, asked Jim, "Where is Mike?"

His father answered, "Under the table, he is Karen's ammo belt. Most of the ladies have about ten pies. Karen has about twenty-five. She figured that since she is the bride she was entitled. I just hope the ladies don't discover him."

A few minutes and a lot of laughs later we saw a snowman walk towards the bar. Mike had been discovered and had paid dearly for it. He had cream pie all over him. The bartender threw him a towel as we all rocked with laughter. His Dad handed him a beer and said, "You're not getting in my car."

"What's going on in there now Mike?" I asked.

"They are in the hugs and kisses part of the evening. Aunt Wendy is passing out towels and Carly is passing out "Great Pie War Survivor " t-shirts. They should be out soon."

Sure enough a wall of laughter approached us and we were amazed to see that they were all nearly presentable. They were wearing their special t-shirts so we could not see the damage to their clothing and their faces and arms looked clean. Their hair however bore witness that they had been in a war. As promised Carly had each ladies name printed on the back of their shirts for me although by then it was pretty much unnecessary.
