It is a common delusion that humans are smart enough to select for quality breeding. The smartest animal that humans breed are mules. You understand the evolutionary trap? Contrary to the common self-congratulations, we breed dogs to remain puppies in adult bodies.

The chapter about the young girl who has Turner syndrome describes why male/female sexual reproduction overwhelmingly dominates female only parthenogenesis. Mother Nature is not amused that egotistical Humanity continues to confuse technology with progress. And She always has the last bitter laugh on natural selection.
