Click hereAl looked at the blushing Mrs. McKinney and said, "My apologies, Mrs. McKinney. I was looking forward to getting to know you this evening. It looks like that isn't going to happen now. Good night."
Al turned to return to his seat at the table. An extremely angry Mrs. McKinney stood and pulled her husband from his chair. She could be heard yelling at him as they left. "I don't care if you did have a few too many! How could you say something like that to anyone, much less to your friends? I wouldn't have blamed him if he'd knocked you on your ass. Two comments: First, most of SW_MO_HERMIT'S stories seem to end abruptly and without much warning. But second, at least he ends them, when so many other authors leave the reader hanging, wondering whether the author will ever come back to finish the story. I guess we must be satisfied in knowing that the major challenges facing the characters have been resolved.
WOW!! I have been slowly picking my way thru your stories for the past several years and greatly enjoy most of them. I am so glad that I took the time this evening to read this story. Loved it. thanks sooooo much for all your efforts to entertain the reading public. Kudos once again for a tale well presented.
