Well, I guess we have to wait for the next chapter to see what is written in the notebook. There must be something more than what we know so far to keep us in suspense, or she would have just read it right away. Good chapter.

A very endearing story

I was really into the story until the attack and Hannah's pliight to recieve notification of her husbands death. My first inclination was that if she hadn't heard anything with in 24 hrs then he was still alive. The Army moves mountains to ensure that the next of kin is notified within 24 hrs of a fatality. Wounded is a different story but it wouldn't have taken 2 weeks for her to find out he was still alive. I was a little wary of the 72 hr notification that he was being deployed also. Unless he was in a rapid deployment unit he would have had at least 3 months notification before deployng. I also doubt he would have had enough time to have a wedding ceremony in that 72 hrs what with having to pack unit equipment, his own bags, manifesting, shots. The lst gos=es on and on.

All in all it was a very touching story. You discribed the heartache and anxiety that soldiers and their families go through every time they deploy.

God Bless our Soldiers, Sailors and Marines!!!

Tears

I have read this chapter twice and was in tears both times. The Military stories always seem to do that, but then I find myself crying when I watch the surprise Military homecoming videos on youtube too. I may not be American but we Canadians are proud of both Militaries men and women. God Bless

Wonderful story, was tearful at times but then out of the dark helping hand from the General that brought back the light and the love that Hannah and Jennifer shared for Chris. 5 stars

You fucking arsehole

If you wanted my emotions in tatters, you truly succeeded after taking a couple of Panadol, a cup of coffee and many tissues I finally settle down. But there’s just one thing that confuses me though with this chapter is why she wasn’t notified by the army about her husbands injuries, and was informed by someone else, and unofficially that he was still alive. Normally, after any conflict and there are casualties, whether K I,A or wounded families of those who are affected are notified pretty quickly, at least they are in the ADF… Australian defence forces
