A fearful muffled, “Yes,” blubbered out.

Early released John allowing him to collapse on the floor in a heap. As he turned around, he found two of the other VP’s, Jennifer, and two other secretaries starring at him through the open door. The older of the two VP’s and the three women all started to applaud, turning the degrading and humiliating moment even more embarrassing for Mr. Stickner.

The younger VP came in and pulled John roughly to his feet, then escorted him out, the older VP called the firms Human Resources Department and helped Susan lodge Sexual Harassment Charges against the most senior of the Junior partners. When things quieted down, Jennifer joined them for their breakfast, and then Susan and Early left and returned the contracts from last week’s business trip to Early’s office, at which time he took six weeks off also.

That night after dinner as they played cribbage, they discussed the six counselors that true to his word, Mr. Jenson had e-mailed to Susan. They finally settled on one and decided to call the next morning to begin therapy as soon as possible.

During the fourth game, Early asked Susan, “What is bothering you Honey?”

She put down her cards and looked at Early, “What did John mean today when he asked if you were sealed, and why did that scare him so bad?”

Early chuckled, and answered, “You misunderstood his comment baby, not sealed, I said I was a former Navy Seal. They are like Army Rangers or Green Berets, or Marine Recon, all are elite special operations groups they just have different missions.”

Susan asked, “Oh, we have been together a long time, why haven’t you told me that before?” she was a bit uncomfortable.

Early replied, “First, I did tell you, I just didn’t elaborate about it. Second, it was not part of our lives, and third, I was in several operations during my time in the Navy that made me directly or indirectly responsible for the deaths of a number of people.” Early fell silent as he composed himself and continued, “Including one man I had to kill hand to hand, he would have killed me if I hadn’t him, but it doesn’t make it any easier. I still have nightmares about it. I think that memory was the reason I stayed my hand against John today. I have never raised my hand against you Susan, and I never will.”

“Okay,” Susan said, “But why was John so shaken today, he was in tears after you told him?” Susan giggled as she remembered how her cocky seductor had crumbled before her husband.

“Susan, the reputation of the special forces is one of aggressive, nasty, out of control, wild eyed killers, who do this stuff for pleasure. That is not even close to reality, or the truth, however the reputation still endures.” He shrugged his shoulders, “I’m sure that reputation helped today.”

Susan thought about what Early said and her body posture relaxed, “Thank you for protecting me today!” she whispered.

Early smiled, “Your welcome, it was my pleasure.”

Susan handed Early an envelope with a number of type pages in it. Early gave her a quizzical look. Susan said, “You asked me to make you understand, I can’t, I don’t even understand, but to the best of my ability here is what I remember. From January to last Saturday, what I was or in most cases wasn’t thinking. Some of the things will hurt, but if you don’t know you will always wonder and I need to have your full forgiveness to be able to forgive myself.”

Early just said, “Thank you.”

The next three weeks were hectic, as both Early and Susan learned about things within the marriage from the counselor neither realized they were doing, and they started to work on the issues in both of their lives. Susan received the news that she had a clean bill of health from her doctor, which was a relief for both of them. They also worked on a number of home projects that they had been putting off for some time.

Then, on the following Wednesday morning Susan had come back from the grocery, carried everything in from the car then she went looking for Early who had been involved with some plumbing in their bathroom when she left.

She called for Early as she climbed the stairs, “Hey handsome, what are you doing?”

No Answer. She just kept talking as she reached the second floor,

“What do you want for sup…per?” She stopped and blinked mouth agape as she looked at Early. Lying across their King Sized bed, his head on his hand, he was clothed only in his robe.

“Come here my lover!” came a very sexy invitation, accompanied by a coy little smile as he sat up.

Susan gushed, “Oh God, Yes!” She ran to her husband’s waiting arms and they surrendered and gave themselves to each other. Over and over, they ravished each other, as they touched, pleasured and experienced one another in ways and on levels they didn’t think were possible.

Hours later, facing each other, legs entwined, they held each other in the afterglow of their loving. Early looked at his bride said, “Thank you my lovely wife, for coming back home to me.”

Susan moved her head back a bit to look fully into his eyes, as she ran her fingers through his hair said, “Thank You my beloved for taking me back, and now reclaiming me, to make me whole again.”

Early smiled, then sighed.

Suddenly Susan said, “The groceries, they’ll melt!” she tried to get up.

Early held her tight, “ We already have a huge mess to clean up and we are going to have to go back to the store to replace what’s spoiled, so…it can wait! Right nowthis, is much more important,” he said as he kissed his wife with renewed passion.

Susan sighed and melted at his touch, “Yeaa! You are so right,” and was swept away in his fiery embrace again.

This had potential, but there are so many holes. How did Early find out? We know he came home sooner than expected, but the story jumped from Susan walking in the door to Early being devastated. You just left out that whole interaction. I'm sure it felt cute to have Susan not know what a Navy Seal is, but is it possible an educated woman doesn't even recognize that term? A special forces operator would not have behaved the way Early did in this story. He acted helpless most of the time and was passive rather than active. Lots of holes (and misspelled words).

True love can overcome most anything?

Ok. Sure there were several elements that were entertaining or well done, like Jennifer's letter. But that got diluted by some other not so good elements. Really a six month emotional affair and predatory seduction? Doesn't that make things worse? Next. While the letter from Jennifer was heartfelt, why if her older sister already got poached by John the predator, didn't she warn her much earlier and more than one time? Wtf? And finally Early being a Navy Seal? Really? John being a Navy JAG doesn't mean squat for fighting. Author could have had a hundred reasons why Early could beat the crap our of John. And what the law firm was going to do to John was going to be bad enough given his blatant blackmail attempts. But instead the author makes Early a Navy Seal. Smdh. If that were the case, does it makes sense that Early didn't call her out on the lie on the phone on Thursday night. Heck Winterfrog's version, "A Simple Solution" at least nailed that correctly and that Early was just a normal guy. Apparently fictional SEALs have no situational awareness. Lastly, the wise old boss, Mr Jenson. He has a wife, who after 23 years had an EIGHT month affair with a colleague, and he just rolled right over to forgiveness withe the perfect 41 year old marriage. Really? Sorry too many if these outlandish plot devices, though will concede h see the being seduced by a predator was the author's way of her explaining her assertion that she needed to repay John the predator with sex. 3.5 stars.

Interesting answer to the original story. It was good to read it from the slut's point of view, but you made Early a bit simple and quick to say he would reconcile, and also, you made him a SEAL. With this work from slut's POV, a little more work on Early's POV would be great, and a good parallel.

"Yea" is pronounced "yay." It is an older word that essentially means "yes" or most famously, as a cheer, or as an affirmative vote.

"Yeah" is the word you meant, two different times, if the context is any help at all.

First off I am not a grammar Nazi. To me what makes a good tale is how well it is thought out, realism, put together and presented to make it absorbing for a reader. That, you more or less succeeded with. Reconciliation to me is very iffy, too much more happened than just the two days of taking a vacation from her marriage. No mater how a seducer works on a wife, all she has to say is NO and nothing happens.. you cannot overlook the fact She WANTED the sex to happen and used the excuse of being indebted for his help to justify it to herself and planned accordingly.A LOVING wife does NOT do that..Your dropping that Seal shit into the story was needless and did nothing for the story other than contradict him being a wuss.A Seal would NEVER accept a knife in the back from anybody let alone a trusted person.Though I disagree with him not walking away from the marriage,This is all on her but you wove this tale well enough to sell most of your readers to be happy about it..That alone garners you 4 stars..JZK..

Get this... dude was a Navy SEAL but the writer wrote in not as the acronym it is but like it was a Weekly Vocabulary Word in the fourth grade. DOH! This is another dumb story that was so full of holes it leaks like a soup sandwich. ANON below says it perfectly.

Hmm. The invocation of being a SEAL was ill advised and unneeded. As if a Navy JAG Corps member is somehow a suitable threat in a fist fight. Also how could John be so bold as to push his extortion in the office like that? He is a total idiot. He is the most senior of the Junior partners. Big deal. Firm will not go to bat for him with a big sexyal harassment case.

Man the boss is unrealistic. He forgave an eight month long affair his wife had 18 years earlier? They were back making love in 3 months? Glad it worked out for him, but seriously that doesn't happen that often in real life. A woman who doesn't confess and is caught and in a long multimonth affair during which she almost certainly developed emotional feelings for the cheating partner, has almost no chance for reconciliation after the kids have grown up. Impossible? No. But damn unlikely..

Early came off as robotic and almost instant in his conversion to reconcile when he heard John at the door. Guess he realized John was a predator. And really got upset with the explicit extortion for he partnership.

The letter with Jennifer was touching. But why not tell Susan about her sister earlier?

It isn't just the sex, which she was too guilty and conflicted to enjoy once they got down to "business", besides sounds like John the predator was good at long seduction but pretty terrible in the sack. Not a surprise. But it was the building six months of an emotional affair. She never loved John, but she got damn excited about him. Her obligation was only part of why she did the deed for two days with John. At least she cut it off. Some alternate variants have her not doing that. But the working 16-20 hours overtime where they spent holding hands or practically in each other laps, while discussing intimate things dn her dreams is really beyond the pale. Add in three dinners and a slew of extra long lunches. Probably somewhere about 3 months in the relationship was highly inappropriate. John was slick but evil.

Not sure how to view Mr Jenson. His own RAAC was far more egregious. But this was indeed a RAAC and not a hard fought or warranted reconciliation. Just everything happened too easy. Paint all the blame on the predator. Who tries to.go Bond villain and gets beat up. Uggh.
