Also have a small ranch in East Texas. This one fits with my own experience also. Great characterization.
Absolutely wonderful. (This coming from a guy who stays away from romance stories. I guess you CAN teach an old dog new tricks.)
Wooooooow just wooooooow.its quite a tremendous story
Carson Jones & Caitlin Jones forever❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This was one of the stories I read in 2015 when I first discovered the world of Lit. Its a classic, I keep comin back to it & other stories recommended to take me back everytime. Reading the classic's of Lit has become a ritual pilgrimage of mine. You know a 100 years from now these stories will still be read & some university graduate will be reading the comments to get a sense of the time. The web site may be archieved by then or still running by the grace of luck & or entropy, to the person reading this I would say "The more things change, the more they remain the same" I don't know what your world is like November 8th 2121, I bet you still can relate into the past. & I'm sure Quatum-fusion electricty generation is still 30 years away. I hope you have a great day, I know I did.
Still outstanding ... for the third or fourth time ... a good guy and a good woman that respects him face the future together ...
It is five pages of sentimental crap
The legal environment in which we live wouldn’t allow any of the things that happen starting with the divorce all the way through to the end - the ranching side is equally fanciful
I suppose if you like fairy tales this is your meat and drink
I keep telling myself that I don't like these romance stories, but I've finished every one I start, this one is the latest. Loved the story, loved the characters, loved the ending. Thanks for sharing
Happy endings are so easy when one of the lovers has millions to spare.
FANTASTIC TALE! 2nd read through & it got better. Thank you for your time and talent. DMW
Regardless of how all the legal crap works, I thoroughly enjoyed this from start to finish because it made me feel like I was on an adventure, and all the characters in the second half were pleasant people. I would have liked a little more detailed love-making, however that is a personal preference. Overall, excellent read!
Damn--you wrote a beautiful story. My first one of yours. Now--I'ma gonna git me back to da others, as a cowboy might say.
Wow, loved it. Well done. You need a proofreader to edit your work, and a little grammar. Your writing style is good, so you can add to this one or start a new idea, but keep writing.

My third time through this one, I love it! Don't know where you went, Web_Spinner but I really like the way you write.
Beautiful story indeed. What else is there to say, except I wish there were more than 5 stars to give. Very, very well written. Thank you so much for your talent Web_Spinner.

This was a fabulous story! Kudos to the author... I look forward to reading more of their work!!!
if im being honest there were very few details for sex, but the story was fantastic. i definitely think this is among the best romances on this website :)
I've read this a number of times, and it is honestly one of the best stories on the site.
Not what I expected but I must tell you that the story reminded me just a little of one of Louis L’ Amour’s short stories. I actually loved the aspect that the sex while present wasn’t overly graphic. Thank you for that.
Really great story, reminds me of a similar story here on Lit set on a ranch/cattle station in Australia, but easily different enough to be completely original work. Good scene setting and character depiction, also liked your style of writing, you kept the story moving and didn’t get bogged down anywhere, 5 stars from me, many thanks for writing and posting, cheers Ppfzz.
I'm no traditionalist, but this old-fashioned story is wonderfully charming
Every once in a while you just need to re-read something and this one of those stories.
Irish eyes are addictive and worth it. Well done, too many memories.
4th time through and still thinking it's one of the best ever on this site.
What can I say, it's a well written feel good story that has a happy ending. Couldn't ask for anything more, worth every star.
I am surprised that they had never heard of gates. That's what I would be doing to the old boundary fence instead of pulling out all those hard dug posts.
I have read this story many times over the years. It makes me feel happy. I need all the happy feelings I can get at my age. 5 Stars.
The Magyar
Second time reading this story and it's just as great as the first time. Once again, 5*s+.
I am trying to stop tears of joy that are running down my face after reading this story.
Very well written and I loved it.
Very well written and it has kept me up most of the night, just glad I am retired and don't have to be up early in the morning.
Thjank you.
I loved it. As someone who never thought he would find love again at the age of 81 I feel so blessed to have the love of a wonderful woman and to give her all my love.
So he got married but never divorced and then buys an asset that his ex wife can legally claim half of fucking stupid stupid story.
They did get divorced. It cost Carson $50,000. $10,000 up front and $40,000 when done. Xhristianj
Re: "fucking stupid stupid story"
Has the avergae reading comprehension ability dropped to such a level aomeone could actually miss a detailed plot point such as the arrangement the protagonist made for his divorce?
No wonder this country is going to shit.
Rather than waist my time respond to you Wildwood55 for its quite apparent that if could not (and you can't) understand what Web_spinner wrote, you sure as hell won't understand me. This is a great storyline, WS, with good movie potential. You need to clean it up with a proofreader. Several grammar errors that should have been caught. Keep writing.

I love the comment "No wonder this country is going to shit" really made me laugh, actually rolling on the floor laughing [ROLF] because it has already, the great US of A has truly lost it's way and that my cousins is very very sad. From one of the colonials.
I've read this story so many times, and every time I get to the end of it I still love it as much as I did before. Five stars!
@anonymous replying to Wildwood55 you need to take to read Wildwood55 comment again it is a reply to someone. Wildwood55's point was reading comprehension. Which you TOTALLY did not understand and rudely attacked him. You said he would not understand you, but all you did was show you did not understand him. Yes this is a great story, Wildwood55 said nothing that implies that. Try reading ALL of a post before sticking your foot in mouth next time. Web_Spinner thank you for you great story. 5*
Nice story... I wish I could have some ginger head for a wife! I dont even know if I will marry someday....
I disagree that the setting is perhaps immaterial. In fact, I think the author utilized the setting to excellent advantage and I really appreciated that angle in the story. And OK maybe I saw the romance coming a fortnight away (I’m a slow reader big deal) but this is a very well told tale.
Great story saw the romance a mile away but it was still nice, thought he was a bit stingy only giving his ex $50,000 but I guess she didn’t really have a lot of choice to accept after wot she did, just puzzles me how u can be with someone an love them then leave them an not care if they die penniless. If my bf of 20 years cheated on me I’d be hurt but I wouldn’t want him to be unhappy or harmed I would still love him
I loved this story. I thought Caitlin came around a little quick, but it's a short story and not a novel. So though it surprised me with how quickly it happened, I knew it was foreordaibed, which takes nothing away from the pleasure of reading through the details. I can't help it. I'm just a romantic at heart. And this was a welcome uplift from so many others I've read. And a confession, there were no surprises waiting for me. This is the second time I've read it. I wasn't sure to start, but knew pepretty quickly that I had, and how it was going to end. And kept right on reading, because it is a darn good story, a fun read and a feel good ending. Thanks, Web_Spinner.
I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve read this story that how much I love it……
Truly loved this story…from beginning to end was thought out wonderfully. Love seeing a happy ending 🥰
Aside from some editing problems, wrong words, double words and punctuation, this is perfect. Great plot, great characters and most of all, a great ending! Loved it!
A simp who can't stop simping even after the harshest lesson of his life...
While this is in part an enjoyable read, it is difficult to respect the protagonist and the build up is very long winded only for the actual erotica parts to be incredibly short and rushed.
Bottom line I have to say it's a disappointing read and imo barely qualifies as appropriate content for this website.
