I went through the bag and slipped my ring on and found a strange rock at the bottom.
"What the hell is this," I asked holding up the meteorite.
"You got that in Dunwich when we did a quick detour at a strip mall." Kat said smiling. "There was this short man and his albino raven named Wombat."
I smiled and knew we had some catching up to do but first I was going to spend time with my dad and make sure nothing went wrong. I don't know why I felt so frantic but the longer he went without the transplant I knew the closer he got to dying and I was not going to let that happen. The contacts were gone probably tossed out and without them I had to rely on the tablet to access Surfer and find out what was going on.
I sat in the wheelchair next to my father holding his hand telling him to hold on and that I wasn't going to let him go. I forgave him for not being there when mom needed him and if he just hung on we could be a family again. Mom and Kat were asleep in the hospital chairs and it was so quiet in the wee hours of the morning. I barely heard her soft footsteps on the smooth tile floor and when I looked up the doctor stood on the far side of my father silently staring at me with her piercing green eyes.
"Nick," she whispered. "Remember Nick. Remember Dunwich. Remember the stone. Remember me Nick."

Ravey19over 3 years agoWell this chapter certainly brought some action and changes. Not at all sure where it's going but definitely in for the ride.
Anonymousalmost 8 years agoLove the story so far. It could use a little editing but is otherwise great. One issue in this chapter is on the 4th page, Nick talks to Petra/mom about doing the transplant and making sure nothing goes wrong twice, with the second time seeming as if the first had never happened. I suggest reading it through and rewriting that section to make it clearer and convey the information you want without the repetition.
Anonymousover 9 years agoI honestly dont know what the hell to comment on, lol. The story progression is really interesting and there are so many sub-plots going on I actually dont havea clue as to where the story is going! The only comment, and I don't really know if its negative, is that the kid seems way too experienced with women for some teen that just got out of private school, lol. Easy enough to forget though since the story seems to be strapped to the back of a rocket ;)
displacedMichguyover 11 years ago... read some H.P. Lovecraft, then come back to this. It should make a bit more sense at that point.
SmartestGuyInTheRoomover 11 years agoThe story seems to be going out of control. i liked the first,second,and third chapters but now with this wierd tech, ancient groups, gangs, and what seems to be heading in the direction of magic. you are losing me, you are trying to do to much in one story i love the way you write and your ideas in this story you should have made more than one story with different people backrounds and such a incest/mystery/futuristic/oganization/a hundred other things is just to ambishus and it seems to be destroying the basicsand begining of your wonderful story
PS: To the writer i am not trying to be mean just giving my thoughts sorry if it offends you
PS: To the readers of this comment who like this story even with the small errors i believe it has i am sorry you dont like my thoughts get over it...
