The setting was imaginative and the writing was good. I'm not convinced that male writers should compose lesbian stories though.

Turns out everyone was in the resistance during the war when in reality a lot of them were on their backs practicing horizontal collaboration with occupying Germans. Don't necessarily fault this story or setting just this notion that keeps being peddled of the whole of Europe resisting when many had to do what they could to survive. Sometimes that is the more courageous story than some made up notion of honour.
