Very good story. I love new worlds being opened up to the reader like this... so many possibilties and new lands to discover. Not all of us can be those fabled adventurers that foray into oft dangerous, uncharted territory, so reading about them is the next best thing.

I look forward to the next chapter.

But now my brain is so beyond the Princess Bride reference. Omg this was so awesome! I'd say worth it, but your 'world building' skills, separate from the lascivious joy I just took from this, are so fantastical that I can only think of a single author in comparison.
