Sir Tausin turned to his constables and ordered them to get some help and clean up this mess. He ordered them to say nothing to anyone about this, and the way that Teela explained this to me later; these men were 100% loyal to her owner. The Reeve also instructed his men to take the bodies and haul them out of the castle and dispose of them in secret and ensure that they would never be found. He cautioned them that he did not want to start a war in the castle between the army and his constables over this. His final order was that Glena and the surviving soldier be taken to a section of the castle's dungeon where they would be kept in secret until he could decide their fate.

The bodies were hauled off by the constables, then Teela and myself with soap and water set about cleaning up the blood. She was thankful that I was safe and apologized many times for trusting Glena. She confided in me that at first even after my demonstration in the garden that her owner was skeptical about my suggesting that I could protect her, but after seeing the carnage in this room and out in the hallway, he knew for sure that I could protect her and just about anyone else from harm. I was proud of myself when I heard this from my friend, but in thinking of my friend, I knew that for her and her owner's safety, Lord Hetch would have to die.
