Nothing I haven't seen before but I still was engrossed in the characters. I really felt for Cody. I would suggest you either find someone to help you edit or beta, or try a few different techniques to catch the errors on your own like reading it backwards or aloud. I miss things all the time on my own even doing that, though, so I can't speak highly enough of having help. Keep writing, this story could be really good.

The editing mistakes don't detract from the story. Very good so far.

I wish I knew a bit more about what Cody looks like or his dad. Heck I didn't even know he had a sister. Other than that though, I really like it. The age difference is interesting.
