Click here"Hey, let's get going, yeah?" He took Sarah's hand and walked toward the car park. Mark grabbed Marie's suitcase, and they followed the couple out into the sun.

Not much later, Deacon dropped Mark and Maire off at Marie's house.
"Thanks for the ride Deac," Marie said as she shouldered her carry-on bag. Deacon waved his hand at her gratitude.
"Don't mention it, I was going there anyway," Deacon replied with a grin. Marie laughed and rolled her eyes. Mark hoisted Marie's suitcase from the trunk and joined Marie at the driver's window.
"So, we'll catch you guys later," Mark asked, looking at Deacon.
"Not too soon though," Sarah warned. "Me and Ree talked about it on the plane - after a solid month together, we're ready for some time out. I bet you guys are the same, huh?"
Mark cleared his throat and nodded, his eyes on Deacon's. "...Yeah. Can't stand him."
"One more day and you guys would be coming home to Murder One," Deacon agreed gravely, holding Mark's gaze.
Marie laughed again and linked her arm through Mark's, leading him towards the house. "Later, guys."
Deacon turned his head to reverse down the driveway and saw a dark blue sweatshirt on the back seat. He put the handbrake on and undid his seatbelt.
"What're you doing?" Sarah asked. Deacon hopped out of the car and opened the rear door, grabbing the sweatshirt and holding it up.
"Mark's hoodie."
Sarah huffed and ran a hand through her hair. "So? Come on, he must have others. He can get it later."
"I'll just be a sec." Deacon slammed the door and jogged up to the front door, where Mark was just crossing the threshold. "Mark, hold on," Deacon called. Mark looked up, his stomach suddenly flip-flopping. Deacon held up a sweatshirt. "You forgot this."
Mark took the sweatshirt from Deacon's outstretched hand. "Thanks. And thanks for the ride."
"No problem." Deacon scratched the back of his head. "So, um. Maybe I...can I text you later?" Mark's heart broke a tiny bit at the uncertainty in Deacon's eyes as he waited for Mark's answer.
"Yeah, of course," Mark replied, a warm smile on his face. He slapped Deacon on the shoulder and stepped inside the house. "'Bye." Deacon just nodded and walked back towards his car. Mark watched him go and tried to ignore the sinking feeling in his stomach, a feeling that was telling him he was making the biggest mistake of his life by letting Deacon walk away from him.
"Babe?" Marie called from inside the house. "Are you coming in or what?"
"Yeah," Mark replied, and he closed the door.
To be continued...
First time ever a story on here has made me teat up...multiple times. Thats not to say there isn't insane talent here, because there is, but you balanced everything so perfectly! This could really be a book series. The story is so well fleshed out, the relationship and character development is perfect. Even the drama is perfect and realistic. I love that you didn't take the easy way out and make their GFs a couple of horrid bitches. If adds such a great layer to the story when they're in good relationships and have to struggle with their feelings for one another.
I wish it wasn't so hard for two people who love themselves to express it. It's so sad that this keeps happening. There shouldn't be any closet, there shouldn't be any explanation or coming out. There should just be love. No questions asked.
Posted! Should be up in the next couple of days everyone :):)
I keep checking for Chapter 7, but you haven't posted it yet. Oh woe is me. Please, please, please continue this story!
Bitersweet story of two friends trying to figure out life, want more of this story to read..... :)
This story is fantastic. The raw emotion between the characters is very powerful, but the easy banter between the two is very believable for guys who have been best friends for ages (plus the sex is very hot). Good luck with the writing - each new chapter is definately worth the wait :)
ok I saw on here you wrote that you had ch.7 half done.... just would like to know if your going to post any more... I understand about being busy with life.... this is a great story and i would love to know what happens to the boys... and could you tell us what happen to Mark about the accident... Thanks
I absolutely can't wait for the next chapter. This is probably the best thing I've ever read on the internet! THANK YOU!
Thanks very much everyone for all your comments and feedback, it is very appreciated :) Part 7 is more than half done...
Really want to see how things develop. Deacon and Mark deserve to be happy together. Maybe Sarah and Marie realized while they were gone for a month that they too want something different in their lives. And maybe Deacon and Mark won't have as much "trouble", with people/friends/family accepting them together, as they might think. Great read so far. Go on... give us a happy ending for the two of them.
Not to rush but PLEASE continue the story haha, its really good!
I was so afraid that you wouldn't continue this story. I had stopped checking after awhile - didn't want to get depressed :) I was so happy to see chapter 6! Please don't keep us waiting too long or my heart will burst. Have I laid it on thick enough for you. lol
