I don't think I have read this one before but I am so angry at Ethan but also curious, as it seems there may be more to his rage than hatred. Look forward to reading more and seeing where this goes.
Okay, I didn't expect anything from Ethan. Nope. Nothing. I kind of expected this to happen...
I wonder how Carey'll react to finding out about him nearly killing an infected simply out of some hatred for them? This'll come up later,(much later) I'm sure, but until then... possibilities, possibilities.
Also, Chris. hates Ethan now? Mmm, maybe. But this is going to be interesting.
'I don't know. I just get so angry. I see them and I'm just so mad I can't think. I just...
I hate them so much.' Very clever beginning. Unfortunately I witnessed this kind of blind hatred as a child in North Carolina. I look forward to Ethan's emotional journey. Gweall, you're brave using the same title as Steinbeck's famous book, movies and play.
Yay! I love this series, even if I hated the way the first tale ended. The thing I'm wondering is how Ethan still didn't noticed the trigger of his anger, I did... =P
Six months of volunteer work for attempted murder? Huh?
I've enjoyed a couple other stories set in this universe, but this one just put me off. You really should have had Ethan go to jail for a few years, then have the volunteer thing being a condition of his parole. Kind of hard to redeem a character that went as far as he did without him actually paying for it in some way.
I'd rather just not have to imagine this sweet mouse being anywhere near this...person.
So Ethan is a raging racist, it's like they unleashed a KKK member on unsuspecting POC. It can't be any good. What he did is unforgivable but I like the author and their work so forward we go.
