Mike has had quite a trip from being what he thought he was to his new awareness of his place in this universe filled with magic and his roll as a 'mage'. The fantasy stories that work are the ones that follow different paths then the norm, and the magic seems to fit into this universe. i am interested in seeing where you will take this story. 5 stars so far

Will you make more? Honestly if it were me, I'd have NEVER let that woman with my kid go even at the risk being destroyed or worse. I don't think I could EVER be content to leave it at that and stay in what seems to be a sedentary existence. I hope to see more.

I had never read any tales from this category before. This author is quite imaginative.

A quibble: "It's" is a abbreviation for "It is." The possesive is just plain "Its."

So Rania deceived him about why she wanted to have sex, claimed his firstborn (after he spent his entire life desiring but being unable to sire children), informed him that he would have nothing to do with the child, and clearly threatened him when he asked for an explanation. For a magic society that is supposedly built to run on the fair trade of favours and trust, she's definitely not starting out in good standing with our MC. Hopefully she doesn't need his help in the future. Hopefully he's not enough of a dupe to turn the other cheek.
