Was in the Goon ((Australian Plonk) Maybe it's better than Sodium Pentathol (can't spell) The Story was ok but not Brilliant 4★ WOOF!
What was in the wine? Probably grated nutmeg. Very dangerous stuff when added to homebrew.
Sad that the husband died.
But the self realization of the wife over the consequences of what she did was nicely done.
And the self recrimanation will last the rest of her life even if she shortens it.
Thx.
It was clear, after the guy had been crying all night,
that he wasn't going to "man up".
That leaves few choices.
Tim Robbins said it best:
"Get busy living or get busy dying".
The story was good, except
it lacked a lot of background.
4 out of 5 from me.
Here's why...
* He should have rejected her the moment it became clear of what she thought of him. He's not worth mich in bed? She's not worth shit as a wife
* She was a cold-hearted bitch who deserves her misery. Were we suppose to sympathize with her after Steve's death? Fuck whorezilla. I don't give a fuck about how she feels
* It's a shame Steve really didn't "man up" and go on with his life. There'd pain, then there's the fact that the woman you've loved for so long was nothing but a lying, cheating slut. Why the fuck are you wasting away over her? Divorce the cunt, have a heart-to-heart with your daughters and find someone whose hole hasn't been stretched out by (clearly, even though she denies it,) several dozen cocks. Come on; if she was dissatisfied for, what? twenty fucking years, she's not gonna go fuck around?
* And yes, get the fucking DNA test, AND an STD test. This whore has lied to you for twenty fucking years. How can you believe ANYTHING that comes out of that cum dumpster in the middle of her face?
Disappointing story. He didn't even need to burn the bitch - throw her the fuck out, grown a fucking pair and move the fuck on!
Again - 1*
Getting blind sided like that is going to knock anyone off their feet. A stroke, a mental breakdown, or homicide become rather believable and this was a change from the usual story line in LW. I liked it for that reason. It really is a pity that the fuck buddy actually was a better friend to him than his own wife. Very cold, but that made it interesting.
Very dark, sad story about a side effect of cheating that isn't often shown. The shock of finding out your wife is cheating on front of your friends just might cause a shock like this. I enjoy your writing, and you definitely got the commenters stirred up. Must have hit some emotional chord with them.
She had to live with her choices. always making the male into a hapless broken and pathetic cuckold is a bit distasteful though.
Yup mutually assured destruction is probably close to the truth for many in RL. We are very good at it as a speices.
Hard not to see this as symptomatic of English decline. Men withering and simpering. Do they put more chemicals in London water than we do here in the states? Ever since reading Back To Bristol (I call it Back To Bullshit) I knew there might be something wrong with Englishmen.
People in the modern day need to redefine themselves and their national purpose, give themselves new ideas and goals (yes, I realize that's becoming illegal). I hardly think that should include wilting like a picked posey when another man is after your own wife - or even enjoying it (that crap needs another fetish category around here).
Yes, this woman flat out cheated on her marriage and all but killed her husband with her own hands. But it takes two to tango and who knows how soft and faggy her guy became. In case you haven't figured it out: no matter what anyone says, that's a real turnoff to most all women.
The author says hubby had become "complacent".
One common thread in these stories are men rushing to get drunk when marital issues come up. Also, they like to sit around and watch TV. Especially nutless news programs and the worst of all: Sports.
Is there any greater sign of total capitulation to mediocrity in every possible way than being a fat fck beer drinking TV watcher? And watching sports with your wrenching guffaws and jiggling bellies? And not a single original thought in your mind?
Life is for keeps and no one gets out alive. If men have capitulated to these state sponsored phantasms and become couch potatoes afraid of their own shadow then you can understand wifey going out for a good round of fcking.
Sorry. Pound the table all you want. Beat your bible, on and on. But your wives will never tell you the truth of your shortcomings, until perhaps desperation sets in and it has become too late. They're simply not cut out for it.
Keep your game up, men. Look alive, don't let your guard down. Gods honest you will never get an ounce of respect becoming a blubbering couch walrus with zero fight left.
I am something of an anglophile but you people sure don't make it easy.
I like the website: Cambria Will Not Yield.
The truthful basis for this story (which came from America, I think) was a proud boast on a cheater's forum that the conversation that was the basis for my story had actually taken place, but she had managed to convince her husband the next morning that she had only been joking with him. I thought: "What if he didn't believe you?" And I wrote "Outr of the mouths of Drunks."
In reply to Anon (Cuckers, Buckers, Cluckers N Plain Ol' F#@$ckers) I see you might benefit from being introduced to a few Englishmen I know who could certainly put you straight.. Yankee old boy! As this story was reputed to be of US origin ( which sounds way more likely) I am tempted to believe it and ask what do they run through all those old lead pipes in the USA? And, for your information, London has VERY FEW Englishmen left there it is filled with immigrants and lefty liberal millenials who use such terms as (Cuckers, Buckers, Cluckers N Plain Ol' F#@$ckers)
does anyone actually say "I'm a cuckold" or "you made me into a cuckold" ? Outside of fiction I've never heard it used, People just say "cheated on" or "had an affair"
Just a mini-rant, but it always just makes these stories more unrealistic for me.
It was a colleague at work who told myself and the Managing Director that his wife ran her own website. The MD thought it was going to be a knitting site, I thought perhaps a cookery blog.
We were both wrong. His wife turned out to be a very well-endowed blond who ran a cuckolding site. And he was proud to be her cuckold.
Weird.
A very dramatic short story! They say you can die of a broken heart and that evil cunt just destroyed her husband's sense of self worth with her thoughtless words. He went from happy to devastated in the blink of an eye... tragic.
Really dark story. Hope she does take the pills, and then finds that she and Steve have different accommodations.
Not usually a fan of a story that incorporates death in the punishment, but this works. ;0)
I liked it even more. I do believe that many cheaters complain they aren't getting enough from their marriage when, in fact, they aren't giving enough to it. Pity she learned too late.
Actually you did a good job with this one. I could only give you three stars because of the plot, or gist of the story. I can see how someone could get so drunk they could do something like this.
that the drunken woman concerned was boasting about on the Doc Cool site, which was a site cheaters used to brag about their cheating. I hope her husband dumped her.
Every time I read this story I like it even more. I've been around drunks and I've been around cheaters. Boy, there is some nasty truth here. Great job!
She drank so much rum that she threw up before the sleeping pills could actually do the deed.
She live the rest of her life a lonely woman who had killed her one true love.
When she eventually passed over Steve was waiting for her. As she approached him, with arms opened wide, he turned around and walked away from her as the trapdoor to hell opened and she plummeted down.
This is better every time I read it. I don't like it, even a little bit. But I appreciate it as great writing about a cheating bitch of a wife, and the destruction she causes.
Good story. Thanks for the read.
Hope the daughters never speak or see her ever again and that the wife has a long miserable lonely life.
The downfall of Western Civilization! In a proper society he would have pulled his gun (everyone is armed) and put them both down like rabid dogs. Then all the neighbors would applaud him for removing the cancer from their town.
ZK
Only wish that somehow the daughters were able to make certain that the cheating wife would not be laid to rest beside the husband and also hopefully before he passed out he somehow had her off the life insurance. I know, asking too much.
So why kill herself? She gets the house, lit insurance money, no divorce, she even gets Bill if she tries.
quite liked it. even the tragic ending. just didn't like that the other guy got off only with a guilty conscience.
Something to ponder, what this guy said!

There was a valid reason behind people being stoned for adulterous (and other bad) behaviors outside the city gates. Everyone knew the consequences of bad behavior. The threat of divorce for such today does nothing to stem the ill tide of human misconduct. According to the myriad of stories on this very website, most cheaters will simply end a long relationship and continue on as if nothing ever happened. With the wife keeping the majority of the assets. And no, BTB stories are not realistic or even account for the actual end results of most divorces.
Sandra should go ahead and take those sleeping pills. But, she won't be able to find Steve and apologize, in the place of eternal damnation she'll find.
Isn't getting a reaction from readers what it's all about. I wish I had your talent.
Good work. Didn't flinch from the awful event that started it up, kept right on going. I've wondered sometimes about the idea that when we die we "get" to be around people we knew in life. I don't want to see some of those people ever again, including at least two member from my family of origin. Is there a provision for not seeing people you don't want to see? Also, I've wondered: can we meet new people in the afterlife and have relationships with them? Big questions.
"Why had she drunk so much of that homemade wine?" - Never mind why she drank so much, why did she cheat? Besides the reason she gave, of course! And just how did she know that Bill could fuck that well?
A sad, but very real possible outcome that is rarely addressed. Kudos to you for this story ... I'm sure many of us can relate. 5/5
I gave it 4 stars for the strength of the writing & story telling. Otherwise, I disliked this story (yeah, I'm separating the 2 views) as the wife's a total bitch. Instead of talking to her husband, trying to show him how to improve, what she likes, etc., she goes to another man... his good friend, no less! Even worse that this's based on a true story. I'm sure most of these stories reflect the shit-assed morality of many "adults". Just a shame..
sounds terrible, but the cheating bitch got lucky to get rid of the wimp..I am one of those that truly believe there is absolutely NO exceptable excuse for infidelity, but I can understand and except a women losing respect for a wimpy husband. After she debases him,he takes her arm and says "we better get you home"??? Are you brain dead to expect a reader to believe that.??? Real life either Bill or Steve would not have been able to walk away from the party. Without a doubt the wife would not have been taken home by the husband. A man/husband would not take his own life but get his head together and start to make plans necessary to move on.
The husband just got what he deserved! What a wimp! She openly embarrassed him and told him that he wa as cuckold! And what does he do! Like a typical Englishman...he keeps a stiff upper lip ... does nothing to the two assholes...and slows himself to wither away!! Best to get suck simps out of the gene pool! The only good part of the story was both die! Only bill is left to rot!
5 stars. I didn't like it but that was probably the point, a sad depressing story of loss caused by a greedy cheating woman who loved herself more then anyone else. Much as I love stories with happy endings its cathartic to read the occasional bad end that unfortunately may be more realistic.
Ignore my other post on your other story. You are pro weak willed husband and I'm not.

To Me a Cluck is some guy who knows his wife is cheating on him but doesn't care .. If I did not know my ex was cheating Me I would thank my friends for not telling me the Rat Bastards. I did tell my ex's best friends husband that she was cheating on him . Guess what he divorced her skanky ass
I wanted to know
Did the pills work and did she drift in Purgatory by herself forever
It's pity why Bill should act high and mighty after cheating on his wife and backstabbing best friend. With friends like him who needs enemies the old adage. No punishment for him takes two to tango
5 Stars on a Great Story . My Cousin caught his loving wife having sex in their Bed . He then picked up a Baseball bat and hit the Boy Toy a lot of times sadly one of the blows hit his ex wife to be . The neighbors had called the police and as usual over reacted . Al did get enough money from the police to pay for his injuries . Seems the cops went crazy on him . I thank the neighbor for taking video of it . It was settled out of court . This happened 1o years ago and he still does not date . Told me he doesn't trust women so why waste the time
Yes, sadly, such things really do occur. A well written fictional example here. And I would bet the close family of the widow would not speak to her again. I would not. The affective tone of the cheating wife was fundamentally one of deceit. If their sex life was so boring, she should have communicated that with him so they could have worked on it. My limited access to married friends suggests this is actually often true. But it has to start when the marriage is young before baggage gets in the way. Her lack of honesty and actions indicate their marriage was probably never what he thought it was. So yeah, DNA test the children, and see a family law attorney. Not much else to do as such longterm dishonesty really cannot be fixed since her attitudes would not change.
Story was well written. I didn't like any of the developments except the twins reaction. I realize that incidents happen like this in real life, however It always pains me when the wrong person dies. Served with a guy who killed himself over a cheater. Might sound wrong but I took solace in the fact that he killed her first. Np spouse should be that integral in your life to off yourself... Again well written story.
5 for the writing. Ended kind of fast but I liked it enough to boost it a bit
A few people have put the husband down for taking his own life, another for sitting and doing nothing.
When the neighbor went to check on him he was still sitting where he was when he told his wife to go stay at her sisters and the Doctor told the cheating wife he thought he might have had a breakdown or even a stroke, (which sounds more likely) and that he had not moved for a few days (while he was in hospital) then he had a heart attack.
It didn't seem that the other cheater Bill paid much for his part in the affair.
BUT considering he was the only one who got concerned that Steve hadn't been seen or heard from Since the party and went to check on someone who he had considered a friend, maybe living with the guilt that his and Steve's wife's affair had caused Steve to die might be a bigger punishment than anyone else could deliver
I could see that ending being real.
He just sat and thought about whether his whole marriage was a lie or not.
He would probably have been thinking and getting deeper into his own mind about his wife, and life, and not moved or eaten, and the longer he didn't eat, the worse he would feel, as a spiral of gloom.
He didn't eat, maybe he wanted to die, or it was just a side effect of the mental shock
5 Stars as I heard my cousin's wife tell him the same thing . My cousin dealt with it , my Brother beat the guy up . He was shunned at all events after that . We are not even Mormon's
Ok story thats decently written. The husbands reaction and results of it explains a lot about him. He was a weak human being that gave up instead of reacting like a man. It kind of explains why the wife ended up cheating on him,she lost respect for him...3 stars..No I do not condone her actions but understand them..respect is vital to maintain a strong marriage...
