why would a frat poker game be at momma's house?

The setting is in response to the common practice of gambling - illegal or otherwise - being an offense punishable by suspension on most college campuses. I also needed a setting that offered the main character, who has not yet departed for college, an outlet to excise her hormones and sexual frustrations. Whether the frat members would have gotten caught playing cards for money in their own house is just one of those nebulous points that I am not going to waste time exploring when I could be furthering the story.
