Click hereShortly after, Rod and Princess made up and were married that summer. I wasn't invited to the wedding. I lost touch with her when Rod was drafted and signed a big contract with a lucrative signing bonus to play third string quarterback on a pro football team and they moved away. I heard that she had a baby boy she named Rod, Jr. I bumped into her nearly five years later at the mall when she returned to visit her family, coincidentally on Valentine's Day. I couldn't help but notice that her four-year-old son looked just like me.
She saw me, but Rod didn't. He wouldn't recognize me if I kicked him in the groin. They were a perfect match. He was just as self-absorbed as she had been back then, but she changed. Motherhood was obviously good for her. She looked happy.
She smiled, looked down at her son, and then looked back up at me. "Happy Valentine's Day," she said mouthing the words and blowing me a kiss, while Rod walked three feet ahead of her.
Our son was the best Valentine's Day gift she could have ever given me.
Well, this was a surprise! I was skipping through the Valentine's Day Contest titles and started on this one without noticing it was a novel/novella until the end of page 1. Did I have time to read 4 pages? I was already hooked so I made sure I had time, and how rewarding it was. You managed to turn a non-consent situation on its head with everyone getting what they deserved in the end. I like stories about the average Joe and this one was clever and sexy. Good luck in the contest.
I loved how you described what you were imagining, and then got snapped back to reality. The rape scene was very exciting. Its an even better ending when two of a kind end up together. Also nice to know there is a secret between the two lovers. Good luck with the contest. This is a winner!
I thought this was a good story although a little long. I personally prefer 2-3 page stories but I know that you can't submit chapter stories. I am intrigued that an anonymous reader believes this is the only story that has to do with Valentine's Day. I thought all the stories had a good theme.
Thank you for a very entertaining and well written story. I think we all know someone like that woman. We all know someone like , Joe, that's life. You are a Positive Thinker.
