I have to agree it was sad, beautiful and romantic, but did you not say that Paul and Shannon were not living together?? Or did that change in the 6 months between 2 and 3?? Also what about Mike's wife? Was there really a wife or was that a come on to get into the house the first time?? I loved the story though and hope there is a true happy ever after for them both

This left lots of loose ends. But these two were really hot together. Moreso they had this intimacy that you felt but they didn't know anything about each other really. He knows next to nothing about Mike. I give him credit for not blaming mike for helping his life to implode. One thing that was a detail that didn't match up was that he had said he didn't live with the girlfriend. Did she move in during the time he first was with Mike and the second time? And if so, wouldn't she leave and not throw him out of 'his' house. That is something a beta reader could catch. But, aside from that, great story. It was almost better left for the uncertainess of their relationship. Though it seemed kinda sad that he is pretty addicted to Mike and Mike cares for him and can it be more than hook-ups. Guess it's not always a HEA

When the wife/girlfriend walks in on gay sex in most gay stories on this site it usually turns into an MMF threesome… unfortunately I'd say that in real life 90 to 95% of the time this is exactly what would happen! I know if my wife caught me having gay sex her reaction would almost certainly be the same. I agree with some of the comments here: I thought it was his house, not hers, and that she didn't live there, so how come he gets thrown out, etc.? Also, as shocked as she was, why did she have to go and tell his whole family? That did seem a bit vindictive (but quite realistic alas). I got caught once having gay sex: I would've been 18 or 19 at the time - and my sister therefore 20 or 21. Anyway as he's fucking me (on the kitchen table as it happens!) my sister suddenly appears at the kitchen doorway. (Why she was also almost naked I'll never know.) She pretended to be shocked but she must've been listening in on us (whilst stripping off down to her knickers?), saying something like she'd just stepped out of the shower (as if!) and came down to see what the commotion in the kitchen was. All the time she's saying how shocked she is, and disgusted, etc. she's betraying herself by sneakily looking at his cock and mine. Anyway, the guy freaked out, grabbed his stuff, hastily dressed and left. Things were awkward between us - to say the least! - but I reminded her that I'd caught her cheating on her boyfriend and that perhaps we were "even" now. I never told on her, and she never told on me. In fact it's never been mentioned for twenty or more years.
