Your first posting is very good. There are some minor fixes that a good reviewer could detect, but the errors did not detract from the story at all. I look forward to your future efforts. You describe the mechanics of what is happening very well, but perhaps you could also insert a little more of the emotions being felt by your character and the event unfolds.
