He stayed that way, breathing deeply, for a few minutes. Instinctively her hands moved over his back, caressing his skin. Her thighs squeezed his hips when he shifted his weight. His eyes were inscrutable when he lifted his head.
"We should get back to bed," he said quietly. She was puzzled when he paused, it looked like he wanted to say something more. Instead he shook his head slightly, pulled out and then stood. She took his hand when he offered it to her.
After leading her back to the bedroom he waited outside the door when she slipped into the en suite to clean up. They crawled back into the bed between Alex and Damien. She was too worn out to fight when Drew pulled her against his chest so she let him tuck his big body behind hers without struggling.
As she drifted off again she was shocked to feel his arm tighten around her waist and his lips press against the back of her head.
