Hearing their mate mentioned, it finally got through to the wolf and at long last he backed down.
Adam looked down. Rupert lay in a big puddle of his own blood, the crimson in his eyes long gone, his skin as pale as it could get. Adam kneeled beside him and bent down. Softly he whispered into his ear, "Know that I'll make her the happiest woman alive and she'll be all mine. Everything you did to her will be just a disappearing shadow, I'll make sure she knows she doesn't have to worry anymore. You'll be taken care of."
In a fast move he pierced the vampires heart with both knives, twisting and turning them, wanting that last moment to be as painful as he could make it. He made sure the heart was completely severed before standing up and closing his eyes.
It was over.
He had gotten his revenge.
He managed to keep a hold on his sanity.
He didn't even shift.
His wolf felt left out and nudged his human and whimpered. He understood now but also wanted to execute part of the vengeance for their mate.
Adam had a mental argument with his wolf but in the end gave in. He wanted to undress but the mental agreement had his wolf too eager to wait and he pushed himself to the front and made his human rip his clothes.
He stood over the dead body of Rupert, snarling and yapping, getting rid of any anger he had left in his muscled body. He sniffed the corpse and almost bolted when the rich odor of the vamps urine assaulted his nostrils. Coward!
Moving back up he did the one thing he longed to do. With a growl he went for the vampires throat and shook his head from left to right until he heard an audible crunching and a loud snap. With a twist of his head he severed the head from the body. He knew his human had made sure the vampire was dead but he just needed to know it would stay that way.
He stepped, licked his chops and almost gagged at the taste of the lifeless blood. The wolf knew his human would take care of the foul taste and quickly he retreated, giving his human full control. All he wanted now was to get back to his mate and make her his.

willieoneover 11 years agoAdam finished being sidetracked by going to satisfy his need for vengence but..his mate still has no idea she is his mate...has no idea what he is...we don't know if she will want to be a wolf's mate. All these questions have been left unanswered while he and his friends spent chapters playing he-man. Sigh I hope when and if you post Ed's story we get to read the completion of Adam and Bron.
rewski84over 11 years agoMo, thanks for yet another great chapter. I do have to agree with some that this chapter seemed to have a lot more errors than in previous others, but the pace more than made up for it.
Also, there's no need to apologize for your "ranting". Why you think you had to in the first place is beyond me. One would think that after all this time all anon commenters would get it in their tiny heads that this a free lit site and bitching and whining about what they want will only result in the opposite of what they intended. Obviously, this doesn't apply to anon cowards who provide negativity just for the attention or for the sake of it. Blocking anon comments was the right thing to do, so again, don't apologize for any of it.
Lastly, a note to your editors and/or beta readers: Please don't rely on spelll-check and auto-correct alone when checking for spelling and other grammatical errors, especially with homonyms. If the amount of time taken to get this story "just right" is measured in weeks or months, then please consider the very "primitive" and old-fashioned method of reading the ENTIRE story backwards from finish to start (yes, manually). I've found no other method to be as effective in practically catching all the little errors that can pop up unexpectedly. This may take a few extra hours, but in the scope of things -- well, you get the idea...
SunKisstover 11 years agoPardon my french, lady, but screw me to hell if this wasn't a satisfactory revenge gore and blood tale. Finally, all can have closure. The bloodletting's very cathartic. Looking forward to the next chapter. Felt like I was in there watching them get what they deserve, while cheering adam and friends on.

If/when you decide to keep going with the series, I'll be right here waiting, holding my breath and turning purple like I'm doing with JazC's stories right now also. Anons are douchie cowards and you just keep doing what you're doing because you've got people hanging on your every word. :)
cherrychezzaover 11 years agoI think that all stories so far have been brilliant however some things are missing what happened between ed n dom n what will happen for brom and adam, merlin,sue n dave is there a new series going to happen???
