Its been some time since I read this story, glad to see an update, especially a chapter of decent length. The characters are complex and the story is intriguing. There's lots of possibilities for future development, this chapter alone is ripe with them. Malachi's health and the visit from Dr. Jessie, the evolution of his relationship with Chloe (including a major fucking apology), mending the wounds of his familial relationships (some serious consideration of therapy wouldn't be amiss), and the twin dangers of the police and his former gang friends looking for him. And these are just the threads I see dangling. I'm sure your wayward muse can conjure up even more material for you to weave into this tapestry. Hopefully your offline troubles will ease and allow for another chapter soon ;o) . Good luck and happy writing!

I am glad you are back. I love this story. I am trying to make a comeback with my story as well, but my editor has not contacted me back yet, soooo......yeah...sorry I am lacking.

Loved the note at the beginning, my muse keeps crack head hours too..it's funny the one part of me that I allow to be referred to as female, despite the fact that I am in fact female, gives me the most problems, sigh, women... I am so glad to see you back and I was so glad to see the update. I love Malachi and I love him even more when he is vulnerable, so I can pounce and conquer lol joking I'm not serious... about joking

I think my favorite parts of this story (aside from the feels of course) are the way you weave the unpredictable parts so seamlessly into the predictable. There were some things that I knew, but your execution made it new, y'know? I'd hate to guess how it turns out, but I can't wait to know! Did I mention that I love it?!

First I love all your stories. You are a very talented writer. I would love to see a chapter from Malachi point of view. What was going thru his mind after Lo left him while he was taking a shower? Why did he decide to burn off is tattoo? How did the gang take it once they found out? What made him join the gang ( I know you wrote a lot has happened to him but some more details would be great)? I feel we get a sense of Lo and his sister relationship, but there seems to be a gap on how Malachi feels about the situations life has given him. It's clear he has feelings for Lo, but he has problems opening up to her. But I love the first step he took by going to her while he was broken. That means he trust her, but he could also put their lives in danger. Overall great update and I can't wait to read more. Hope this helps.

Well, I foresee a shit load of drama to follow this chapter up! Who exactly cut Malachi up, then stitched him to send him on his way? What is this mysterious house that he tried to send those people back to? Who runs this inner city "Brotherhood"? Why did he burn of that offensive tat(praise Jesus!)? Of alllllllll people why did Malachi show up on Chloe's back door? Hmmmmm? What exactly happened after Chloe awoke from that beautiful family fantasy? Why is Malachi not applying himself in his craft(the baby furniture sounded lovely!) Poor Chloe and these back and forth emotions! Malachi needs to drop the act and get his shit together..... Gurrrrrl, we love you and were glad your back!

I am so caught up in this story. I usually wait until a story is finished. I hate waiting for the next installment, but yours has me feeling like a crack addict. So thanks for the hit. I would love to see him make a career out of the carpentry, pursue her, and make her dream a reality.

Happy New Year to everyone! May this year have more awesome-kick ass-moments than last year's!

I am writing this note because I want to thank everyone who had left comments for me, to the people who emailed me personal notes of encouragement and to the silent folks who just "favorite" my story.

I am also writing this note to tell you guys that I will be focusing on finishing "Choosing Your Battles" for this week and the following week. "Choosing..." will remain a short story, but I do have plans for Sasha and Selene in the future.

Last week, I had revised "Between A Rock And A Hard Place". Now, it just needs to be edited.

I only ask for one thing, and that is a hppy ending, Nobody dying please: that'll just be causing me a heavy chested pain....

It's cruel to make us wait to know what's going to happen with Malachi!

A couple years ago I saw this commercial about a Caucasian male sitting on a train. A young black woman boarded and sat across from him. The whole ride they were admiring each other. When she got to her stop, he helped her gather her bags. They felt such an instant connection. When the train resumed it was night and showed his reflection in the window pane. The reflection showed his swastika tattoo.

That commercial moved me and I hadn't felt that way again till I came across this story. Great job MimiRose!

I love this story even with the skinhead situation. I knew from the beginning Malachi was not a true skinhead because of the fact he had not completely disowned his family. I knew he loved Chloe, from the beginning of the story. I would love to continue to follow this story to the end no matter how long it takes!

Every time, I get invested into a story, I fall in love with the characters, then the story is never completed. I long for author to finish It, only to realize that it was written years before I read it, promising me a lack of completion. I never fail to do this.

You have drawn us in, please finish this series

Disappointing to see another really good story get dropped half way through. Oh well, life gets in the way I guess..

I always come back periodically to read this story. Its pretty amazing and I hope you'll update soon. I completely understand losing inspiration for a story or being undecided on which direction to go in. Personally I would love to see it kind of go the route of her dream. Like, they stay together in her home, him kind of hiding out and healing until his sister has her baby. He and Lo grow closer to each other and things progress.

It would be good to flesh out the part where he was locked up while she was pregnant with baby number 2 and that could be connected to him saving the lady out with her kids. Like, yeah it was murder but he stopped a hate crime so it would take a little research to look into the real legalities of that. Being a felon and having a gun and all that.

Also, it would be super cute for him to say 'I love you' first. I'm a romantic lol. To see him overcome his demons and be on the right side with his family and his niece's father would be great as well. Those are just a few ideas I have. Hopefully they spark something for you, I'd love a conclusion outside of my imagination lol. Thanks for the great story! -K

I think Chloe and Malachi should stay together in Chloe's house and recuperate

from his wounds for a couple of month's without telling Malachi's family about the situations During this time Chloe & Mal can catch up some more, reminisce, talk about their past & future relationships with each other. Also discuss what he's going to do with the situation at hand.

What if their was an FIB undercover agent involved with the Nazi brotherhood who became a friend to Malachi and was their the very night of Malachi's torture by his comrades for whatever reason. What if thier was a raid or a sting operation that went down at the old Brewery district because the FBI had enough evidence on the Nazi brotherhood, while Malachi was recovering at Chloe's house in the later month's.

........Just throwing in some references from that IMPERIUM movie

Maybe the victims that Malachi saved from that attack didn't recognize his face cause he was wearing a black hoodie that night it happend. Maybe Malachi's FBI friend could exonerate/vouche for him if he gets arrested so he don't go to jail again.

I don't want Malachi to go to prison again because the Nazis brotherhood got contacts in prison and would kill him. Maybe his FBI undercover agent could hook him up with a legal decent job, one that Malachi would like, in the future.

I hope CHOLE & MALACHI should have a happy ending together, considering how shitty the world is. Make it come full circle.

Make sure to have more STEAMY/ RAUNCHY/DETAILED SEX SCENES, he.. he... he..
