This was a sweet story of supernatural romance. It was spooky, as a Halloween story should be, but not scary. I also didn't think it was forced. The flashbacks were appropriate. There was more sex than in your ordinary romance, and it was very well done.

I found the writing first rate but the story sad.

I mean, if it was me, if I was Donovan and a beautiful woman wanted me to pop her cherry and give me hot sex, that's good and well. But, it stops when she wants me to take an eternal dip in the water.

"Hey, listen, I'll catch you later, Babe, when you emerge and climb back on land. Okay? I'll see ya tomorrow. Wave the lattern."

It's spooky scary. I feel bad for the couple who just moved in.

"Hey, Honey, that nice couple wants to know if we want to go for a midnight swim...wearing our clothes."
