Not a bad effort, desperately in need of proof reading though. Interesting back story for the characters, could be an interesting series if you explore the steam punk setting with a bit more depth.

This is a pretty good story, I enjoyed it.

I think maybe you could continue the story with Obe teaching Amelia to be a pirate, with them being both lovers and accomplices
