Had a similar experience at JOTB down in Panama in the mid '90s with an Israeli lady who was a member of an IDF Company. They came there for Jungle training as part of an exchange program similar to the one you described. We were playing OpFor for them at the time, and they were high speed, low drag. The lady I met during that two week long training session became the inspiration for my "Delaara" character in the 'Love Thy Enemy' and 'Love And War' series.
