I really enjoyed this story: beautiful language, evocative of place, times and culture, a great build-up. This story can go a lot farther - the end did seem to cut it off too soon - the characters are complex and intriguing enough, and there is a lot of mystery about what makes them tick, how they got to this moment, and where they will go from here. It seems like story that is on the edge of bittersweet, between tragedy and comedy. I'd like to read more...
