Charlene didn't respond, her son now in her arms, pleasantries being exchanged with her ex. As he walked down the drive, away from Charlene's house and towards the road where his lift would soon be, his hangover finally cured, Ed heard in the distance a child ask, "Mummy, what have you got in your hair?"
