What a great storyline. How many times have we all judged a book by it's cover? Loved it and the characters. Not sure if the story line lends itself to a second chapter but it would be nice to see how this relationship evolves onto something much more. Hhhhmmmm sex on a sunny Sunday in the garden, sounds like a story in its self.

Oh I just loved this story. The moment I read that Steph was at her doorstep while she was dealing with the delivery man I was like "Oh god! Oh no!" and doing the cover-up-the-next-paragraph maneuver as I shyly read on. But when I read that she was from Saving Face I knew I would love the story. It was so sweet and fabulous. :]

Excellent usage of irony throughout the piece as well :) I should be honest and tell you that I stayed up reading this and it's now nearly 12:30am and I need to be awake by 4am for work. <- that's a compliment, not a complaint. :D

I wasn't sure where this story was going from the title and the beginning, was it all going to be fantasy in Kate's mind or what.

When Steph came in and expressed her affection and acceptance of her appearance it was just so sweet.

Now that I've joined I wanted to comment because I HATE anonymous comments, LOL!

It was every bit as wonderful as I remembered, got a little misty reading the last couple of pages.

I know Kate is no longer writing her journal, maybe you could re-visit them in a third-person story?

...and five star great at that. A lovely, warm story illustrating what can be achieved by the human spirit. A small bit of carping---I felt that it ended just a little too abruptly. Perhaps another page length could have ended the story more smoothly. And perhaps a bit of good editing to get rid of some of the bloopers (most of which seem to be with homonyms). Whatever, it's good to have a writer like you on this site.

This was the first story I've read of yours and I'm mentally kicking myself for not discovering it sooner. I absolutely love reading stories that step outside the box of what I call 'two coeds deciding to get their freak on'. You've got real characters with real situations and dare I say, a real connection. Very deserving of five stars.
