For his part Stanley had been rendered incapable of any thought at all. Turning serious Stanley asked, "So, how are we going to do this with Sarah?"

Tina handed him the robe and said, "Put this on and go into the laundry room," she pointed to a door at the corner of the room near the couch, "and don't come out until I tell you to."

"She's never going to go for this, you know," said Stanley, "The minute she sees me she's going to freak. She hates me."

"I've got that base covered," said Tina, "Just make sure that when you come out of the laundry room that the robe is closed."

Stanley looked at her quizzically.

"Trust me on this one?" said Tina.

Suddenly the doorbell rang.

"Shit! She's early!" Tina exclaimed. "I had a whole scenario worked out for this. Now I won't have time to explain it to you. We'll just have to play it by ear."

Stanley grabbed the robe and grumbled, "How do I let myself get talked into these things?"

Tina didn't hear him she was already bounding up the stairs to go let Sarah in.
