That took Angel a bit by surprise. Cullen did retaliate a bit after I denied him. Perhaps he is more like me than I at first realized. Angel was smiling again. "Yea, you do have a point. But still, I am not going to call him and go out of my way. If he wants to talk, he can call me, and come crawling to me," said Angel, as she couldn't help but giggle slightly.

"Ok, ok. I give up! You're too much of a stubborn ass. So, why don't you put in a movie to watch before we go to bed? And try not to fall asleep right away or I will write on your face again with my eyeliner."

Both Isobel and Angel couldn't help but start to laugh all over again. This was exactly what Angel needed after the horrible time she had with Cullen.

"So how did she take it?" Gavin asked, as he lifted his head from the book he was reading in his Alpha's office.

Cullen didn't say anything to Gavin right away. He turned to his wet bar, and grabbed his brandy and poured himself a glass. He took a few sips of it, before telling Gavin everything that transpired this evening with Angel. "I don't know. I am trotting in new territory with Angel."

Gavin nodded, and started to think things through before answering. "It is obvious you did in fact hurt her, but it seems like Angel is always surprising us with how strong she really is. I am beginning to see how very similar both you and Angel really are. True, she is able to control her temper a bit more, and she is without a doubt better looking than you," Gavin teased before continuing, "but you both can be very stubborn, and strong willed, with neither of you backing down to any fight. I can see many more arguments in the future, but the thing you must remember, is how to apologize when wrong and apologize even when you are right, because to women, they are always right and we are the lowly dogs that always make mistakes." Gavin couldn't help but smile up at Cullen. "So it might be a good idea to back down, so that you can get on with the hot make-up sex.

Sighing softly, Cullen took another sip of his drink. Women, can't live with them, can't live without them. No truer words were ever spoken. "Know this Gavin. I will never back down. I didn't become Alpha to just give in to a simple girl—and I don't care if she is my mate. She will just have to learn that what I say is the law."

"I'm sorry to say my friend; you are in for a rude awakening." Gavin smiled, thinking about all the future quarrels' that his Alpha and his future mistress would have. It would really be a sight to see and keep score of who backs down first. "Well while you were away, rumors have been flying already that you found your mate."

At this Cullen looked up at Gavin. "And how are the majority of reactions?" Cullen wasn't too sure how his pack would react, with the news that he found his mate...let alone a human mate. Of course Angel would become one of them, but there are still a few who are bound to cause trouble.

"Nothing as bad as we first had imagined. Most of the pack members are actually really happy that you finally found your mate. It is about time you start having some heirs—all in good time... I know. And of course there are a few female members who are angered that you didn't choose them, but they will get over it in good time."

Cullen couldn't help but ask, "And how is Layla taking the news?" Cullen knew that she would probably be the one behind all the negative comments, and most likely the first to challenge Angel when the time comes.

"Well what did you really expect" asked Gavin. "She was the number one bitch among the pack for a while, and now to be replaced so fast with a human. Of course she got angry and threw a fit. But, I just think," Gavin took a sip from his glass, "that it was about time she be put back in her place. She was running this place as if she was the Alpha's bitch already."

Cullen nodded his head. He knew what Gavin said was true. She had been running around here with her nose up in the air, always thinking she was better than everyone. It was bound to happen. After getting a few papers in order on his desk, Cullen asked, "Are there any other news that I should know about?"

Gavin was thoughtful for a moment, thinking about everything that happened while his Alpha was away with Angel. "Lets see. Your stepmother called to see how you were doing here, and wondering when you're going to return back home to Scotland. It would seem that the rest of the pack in Scotland has already heard about your future mate. I guess good news travels fast."

"Well, I was actually hoping to go back to Scotland with my mate. But now, I don't know. I will give her a call tomorrow, since it is late over there." Sighing, Cullen made a mental note to himself to give her a call tomorrow. It appeared that she was just calling to get the rest of the gossip about Angel. Cullen knew right away, that his stepmother never cared for him at all. His father only wed her, never making it official in pack law by mating. His father just got so tired of all the bitches in the pack fighting over his attention, that he chose her out of the blue to settle it all. Their union was not based on love. They barely spent time together, and those few times they were together in bed resulted in only one offspring. Cullen, and his stepbrother Cian, were nothing alike. Cian was the apple of his mother's eyes. There is no wrong he could ever do in her eyes. But in reality, he was the biggest gambler and drunkard, and always loved to take authority when ever Cullen wasn't around. Perhaps it was time for him to return back to Scotland and see how the pack is doing there. He trusted Duncan, one of his betas in charge of training the pack members for war—even though we haven't had a war in centuries. It is always better to be safe than sorry—completely. He knew that Duncan was running the pack fairly like how he does to everything else. But he knew that Cian would probably be overstepping a few boundaries that normally, Cullen would never allow. It was probably time to rectify that.

Cullen tried to finish up all the paperwork on his desk that needed to be done. He never left things unfinished before going to bed—so that when tomorrow starts, it would be a brand new day. Once he was finished, Cullen stood up and stretched, seeing that Gavin was doing the same. It was a routine of theirs. Gavin would relate to Cullen the news that transpired in the pack, while Cullen did his paper work; and Gavin would wait in the office till Cullen finished.

"Well goodnight. Tomorrow is bound to be exciting. So should I order a couple dozen flowers for Angel tomorrow for you Sir, since you screwed up royally?" asked Gavin, while laughing softly.

Shaking his head, Cullen said, "No thank you. Goodnight." They each went their separate ways, Cullen to his wing, and Gavin to the wing shared by many other betas.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

"So does the little bitch think she could easily mess up my plans? Perhaps my plans may be slightly delayed, but in the end, I will be the one in charge!"

Leaning back in the chair, looking out the window and staring at Scotland's beautiful hills. Tomorrow is the day that all my planning begins. First things first—I have to get rid of that bitch Angel. Looking over the back of the chair, at the letter on the desk, couldn't help but smile evilly. Soon Angel...soon you will have something to fear...Me!

Can’t finish the chapter

Your characters are unlikeable. They come across as immature, overly angry, volatile, and quite frankly, I’m left just walking away from their annoying personalities. You have two avoidant attachment personalities being overly immature and it’s just not working.

Characters

The characters are immature, annoying and the reactions seem unrealistic.

Grammar Needs Work

So far, I am enjoying your story. However, you really need to do something about your grammar. Lots of errors through out your chapters.

just like her father

Up to now nearly all of Cullen's interactions with Angel mirror the behavior of her father to her mother. Possesive , demanding , controlling, even to the point of grabbing her to make her give into his demands, be it a kiss or to lead her someplace. I guess that is typical of the "abused" woman that seem to end up with the same type of man over and over again. Will see how this plays out.

well...

you do kind of need women for EVERYTHING!

men are completely hopeless at most things, and even if you ARE gay, my friend the Anonymous bloke, you still need your MOTHER.

but anywho, I liked the story.

Cullen needs to stop being such an arse...

onto the next chapter!
