"When?" she simply asked as she stood up from the bed, smoothing a cover as she did so.
"What?" Daniel stupidly asked.
"Assuming you win this trip. When is it? "
Daniel's face lit up. It seemed she was excited by the prospect. "July. Late July."
Her face gave way with a gentle smile at his enthusiasm and she raised her hands to her hips, staring down at him.
"Well, the timing could not be better," she told him. "Remember I told you I had something exciting to tell you about Lauren? She has a modelling audition in the place of your dreams."
When he frowned, she raised an eyebrow and added, "Las Vegas. Remember?"
Daniel's jaw dropped and this time, Grace gave him one of her affectionate grins.
"That's right. All expenses paid. And she's needed out there late next month, too. So if you can win your opportunity, Mr Poker Hot Shot, we can all head out together."
