The guy is Robert Donat, icon of the 1930s and 40s. He's one of my obsessions. They sure don't make them like him anymore!
Now, where's my stuff? If you've come here, wanting to know there The French Lesson has gone, well, it's gone the same way as The Spanish Captain. My third series is almost completed, but requires significant editing, which I find loathsome but, of course, necessary. You can read the new series, aka a book, via my website -- it's about time I took the plunge, and the hint, and started sticking my head above the writing parapet; and see if folks will part with their money to read my writing. There'll be more to come, of angst and love and sex, only via my website, the address of which I'll put up here shortly -- the website is nearly finished. I've also been busy reading and reviewing other books, something I really love to do. From time to time, I will post a one off story on Lit. I want to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to every single person who took the time to read my work here, and to every one who bothered to comment, vote, favourite and message me. I truly mean it; thank you! Without readers, writers are essentially whistling in the wind, and it is all much appreciated.
I do keep reading new stuff coming on to Lit, hooked as I am on the beautiful Rory and Sebastian series, and the fascinating, haunting The Farm.
Parting is such sorrow, to shamelessly steal from a certain bard, so instead I shall say only..........adieu xx |
