The blood was splattered on the wall
through the kitchen and down the hall
She must have screamed
She must have cried
It must have hurt the night she died

Her hands told a story of how she fought back
but was to weak to fend off his last attack
She begged for help
but was denied
It must have hurt the night she died

There was no pain when the knife was shoved
It was the fact that the killer was the man she loved
He said he loved her
I guess he lied
and that’s what hurt the night she died
