I dig it...
I loved it..comes from the hole in you heart. A deep place.
I enjoyed the word play between "hole" and "whole." This speaks volumes about how the narrator views this certain relationship, as does certain phrases like "acid love." I'm left feeling confused --but perhaps this is your intent, to confuse the reader as much as the narrator is confused.
"Ne'er my wife
And yet she swoons
For what I refuse to deliver."
She swoons over ...nothing? This is the type of confusion I'm talking about.
"And nothing corrupts
The spoiled whole"
If it's already spoiled, what could corrupt it, goodness? Wholesomeness?
Interesting read, I'm left feeling as unsettled as the narrator seems to be. Any time a poem creates an emotional respose like that, I think it's good stuff. Well done.
I thought it was great :) Well done!
Here we go again with that other woman...
Will it hold ~ the whole truth ~ about the hole. Word play very witty.
