I lived in the everglades ..I had a kind of pet heron who used to sit about a foot away from me so I would feed him fish...he would come to my door in the morning and squawk until I came out...I called him gizzmo...I miss him...thanks for the picture...and words...lovely images...bluerains

A lazy day by the Bay ~ watching the feeding and antics of the winged fowl. Not a bad way to spend time. Loved the beautiful picture of the Crane.

I'd looked at this once or twice before and it just struck me that that second photo is just overkill. The poem as is with the first photo works its magic, the second photo seems more mundane.
