I was born in September 1977 and was raised in Durban on the east coast of South Africa.

Growing up, I enjoyed reading up on science, particularly Astronomy and took an interest in other subjects such as Genetics and even Parapsychology and Ufology. The latter subjects made my family uneasy although my parents didn't restrict my inquiring mind.

Novels didn't interest me largely but every so often I would pick one up. Reading them was tedious. It did and still does take me several months, overlapping into years to complete a novel and often I lose interest along the way.

My preference for scientific works has much to with the style of authors communicating ideas. Whilst reading, I often mouth words and enjoy the sounds rolling off my tongue.

I began writing poetry when I was 12, mostly for self-expression and to deal with peer pressure. In 1996, spurred by a friend with an obsession with the movie 'The Usual Suspects', I explored short story writing and completed a science-fiction short 2 years later for my own enjoyment. It was a far cry from where it had begun 2 years earlier, with a complete switch from Star Trekkish mania to a more simplified, grounded story in the not too distant future.

Since then, I've dabbled with essays and found much satisfaction in writing erotica which felt very natural although I have not written many works over the years as a result of being preoccupied with making a living. I am looking to change the behavior and to cultivate more balance between work and life with a greater focus on my hobbies.

I currently work in the television broadcast industry of which I have been a part for 8 years.

Nowadays I spend my free time watching movies and pc games as well as creating animations in 3d space. Writing however is amongst my favorite pastimes.
