I'm a Caucasian male of Irish-American ethnicity. I was born and raised in Boston. I lived in Massachusetts until I completed college in the late sixties. I served two tours in Vietnam as a helicopter Gunship pilot. I returned to the US and went to law school in California where I lived from 1973 until 1980. I moved to Portland Oregon in 1980 to practice law. I worked as an in-house lawyer for a corporation as the litigation manager from 1980 until 1989. I left to set up my litigation practice.
I've had the good fortune to travel throughout most of the world. A notable exception is Antarctica, which is on my bucket list if I should ever come into a huge amount of money. I lived in Germany after I separated from the United States Army. I've been in most of the Western European countries, the United Kingdom as well as Lebanon, Israel, Turkey, Greece, and Morocco as well as Egypt.
Upon College graduation, I married my college sweetheart who also graduated that same year and began her job as an elementary school teacher. Things between us changed significantly after I came back from Vietnam and we agreed on an had an amicable divorce after only 3 years of marriage. I injured my knee playing frisbee in a park in California a couple of days before the beginning of Law School. I met a “California Girl” who gave me a tuberculosis test before my knee surgery. I ended up marrying her.
