I am a 49 year old bisexual man with a masters degree and a distaste for improper use of grammar. As a society, I figure we must be passed all that, but with our education system failing our children, I suppose folks like me and those confident enough to provide editing assistance to the masses will be a necessity. This site offers one the opportunity to practice the slowly dying art form of writing, a discipline I take as seriously as I would take a sexual encounter. So, if you are legitimately interested in improving your short or long form story telling, whether the story be an experience you had the pleasure of partaking in or a story conjured from a fantasy you just needed to unload, contact me. My strongest areas concerning the semantics of writing are spelling and punctuation. The area I excel in concerning story telling is character development, but I am also pretty well gifted in the areas of pacing, shades of meaning (word choices), and verisimilitude. Unless you are writing about aliens having sex, your characters need to be real for the reader to enjoy the story. Verisimilitude offers a story character traits that make sense in the world for which they are a part. Not to mention, it’s a great deal of fun delving into the psyche of sexually inclined characters. So many directions to go into, so many options. Finally, it is fair to let you know ahead of you contacting me that I will not correct your work, ever. I will provide examples of what you can do, but I will not remove words you put in the story or change where paragraphs begin and end. I will not edit. I will give the “why” and leave it to you if you want to accept the terms. Otherwise, what are you getting out of it other than the right to swell with pride at a story with your name on it, but with a hint of someone else’s fingerprints marring your perspective? Keep this in mind before contacting me and know that there’s a greater reward for publishing your own work…….rather than your own work as edited by some stranger you have never met.
